Using online help

This page allows you to modify the activity details for the selected process plan. Tell me more

The “Edit Activity Options” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Process Plan No.

The number identifying the process plan defined.

PP Seq.

The sequence number identifying the activity position in the process plan. Mandatory.

Press <Enter> key.

The system checks for the validity of the entered PP sequence number against the process plan number.

Help facility available.

The system displays the following:

Item Code

The code identifying the output item of the process plan.

Variant Code

The code or number identifying the variant of the item.

Desc.

The description for the combination of the item and its variant.

Zoom facility available.

PP Seq.

The sequence number identifying the activity position in the process plan. Mandatory. If PP Seq is duplicated, then Option Sequence Nos has to be unique for that PP Seq

Opt. Seq. No.

The sequence number identifying the position variant in the process plan. Mandatory. If PP Seq is duplicated, only then the option sequence number should be greater than zero and should be unique for that PP Seq.

Activity Code

The code identifying the standard or non-standard activity. Mandatory.

Press <Enter> key.

The system checks if the activity associated with the PP No and PP Seq is a standard/non-standard activity, then the system ensures that the login user has at least “View” access permission to the "Maintained By" control unit of the standard/non-standard activity. The activity should not be left blank. The activity should be valid and should be in “Active” status. If the activity is mapped to the PP No and PP sequence already, then the system retrieves the option sequence along with the other activity details. Otherwise, the system retrieves only the activity details.

Help facility available.

The system displays the following in the “Option Details” multiline:

Desc.

The description of the activity.

Opt. Rule Id.

The id identifying the option rules attached for conditionally choosing an activity. If option rule id is specified, it should exist and should be in “Active” status.

Help facility available.

Valid From

The date from which an activity is valid. If the date is specified, then the system checks if it is in the correct date format. If both valid from and valid to date is specified, then the system ensures that the valid from is lesser than valid to date. If the date is not specified, then the system displays “Low Date” as the default date.

Valid To

The date till which an activity is valid. If the date is specified, then the system checks if it is in the correct date format. If the date is not specified, then the system displays “High Date” as the default date.

Min. Qty.

The minimum quantity yielded from the activity. If the minimum quantity is specified, then it should be greater than zero. If the minimum and maximum quantity is specified, then the minimum quantity should be lesser than maximum quantity. If the quantity is not specified then the system displays “Low Value” as the default quantity.

Max. Qty.

The maximum quantity yielded from the activity. If the maximum quantity is specified, then it should be greater than zero. If the quantity is not specified then the system displays “High Value” as the default quantity.

The system displays the following in the “Option Details” multiline:

Resource No.

The number identifying the primary resource of the activity created.

ECO Ref. For Change

The activity under engineering change control.

The system checks the activity to be deleted. If the activity is a standard/non-standard activity, then the system ensures that the login user has “All” access permission to the "Maintained By" control unit of the process plan. The system ensures that at least one row in the multiline should be present. This check has to be made even in the cases where rows are marked for deletion. After deletion, there should be at least one row. So the system checks for that existence before deletion. The system deletes the PP Seq and Opt Seq related details for the PP No and PP Seq combination.

For an item specific process plan, the system checks if the item is under Engineering Change (EC). If it is under EC then it cannot be modified. The system checks the status of the item process plan. If the status is set to “Draft”, then the system does not generate any validations. The system generates the validations only when the process plan status is changed from “Draft” to “Active” or the status is already “Active”.

The system ensures that the login user has “Modify” or “All” access permission to the "Maintained By" control unit of the corresponding activity. The option sequences should not be repeated. If it is repeated, then the system regenerates the option sequences. The existing PP sequence, Option sequence cannot be modified. The PP sequences and option sequences can be added only for existing standard or non-standard activities. The system saves the process plan details and refreshes the screen.

The login user ID and the system date are updated in the “Created By” and “Created Date” fields.

To proceed, carry out the following

The system displays the following:

Created By

The login user ID of the person who has created the activity options.

Created Date

The date on which the activity options was created.

Edit Activity Options – An overview

Activity overview

You can make use of the help facility to search the position sequence number or can enter if the same is known. On selecting the position sequence number, you can retrieve the activity details in the multiline. You can make changes to the activity by selecting the appropriate activity through the help facility and can also modify the rules, validity dates together with the minimum and maximum quantities. You can also create option sequences for a chosen PP sequence. The option sequence can be conditionally chosen based on the option rule attached.

You can also delete the activity details retrieved in the multiline. You can select the rows and initiate the delete operation to delete the details. The system deletes the marked rows and updates the modified details.
