Edit Resource Capacity

This activity allows you to modify the capacity details of the resource. Tell me more

Select the “Edit Resource Capacity” link under the “Scheduling“ business component.

The “Edit Resource Capacity” page appears.

Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box:

Resource No.	The number identifying the resource for which the capacity details to be modified. The specified resource should be valid and should be in “Active” status. The status and validity is checked from resource master.
Department	Use the drop-down list box to select the departments for which the login user has access permission as defined in the control unit. The system displays the default department based on the value specified in the “User Permission” page. Otherwise, the system displays “Blank” by default on launch of the page.
Resource Calendar	The number identifying the resource calendar attached to each resource. For the specified resource calendar the system retrieves the timetable associated to it for the given date range.

Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the resource details that matches the search criteria in the multiline.

The system retrieves the corresponding resource details onto the multiline based on the search criteria specified.

Enter the following in the “Workday Details” group box:

Date From	The date from which the resource capacity details are to be modified. The date should not be left blank. The system checks whether the date is in correct Date Format and is greater than or equal to the current date. If it not greater than or equal to the current date, then the system displays an error message.
Date To	The date till which the resource details are to be changed. The system ensures that this field is not left blank. The system checks whether the date entered is in correct date format and also ensures that it is less than or equal to the from date.
Week Day	Use the drop-down list box to select the weekdays defined for the timetable. You can select from "All", "Mon", "Tue", "Wed", "Thu", "Fri", "Sat" or "Sun". The system displays “All” by default on launch of the page.
Time Table	Use the drop-down list box to select the timetables defined for the resource. You can select the timetables retrieved in ascending order from the timetable master. The system displays “First Value” by default on launch of the page. If the week day, duration, new capacity unit, efficiency fields are specified for the date range, then the time table should be left blank.
Incremental Duration	The incremental duration of time defined on a resource based on the shifts of the timetable.
New Cap Unit	The number identifying the new capacity units of the resource. If the capacity units are specified, it should be in whole number and should be positive.
New Efficiency Factor	The new efficiency factor identifying the actual efficiency of the resource. The efficiency factor should be positive.
Reason Code	The code identifying the reason for modifying the capacity requirements of the resource.

The system displays the following in the “Resource Details” multiline:

Resource No.	The number identifying the resource.
Description	The description of the resource.
Resource Calendar	The number identifying the resource calendar attached to the resource.
Cap Units	The number identifying the capacity units of the resource.
UOM	The production unit of measure of the resource.

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the resource details.

Click the “Edit Resource Capacity” pushbutton to modify the resource capacity details.

The system ensures that at least one record should be selected in the multiline. If the weekday, time table fields are specified for the date range then the duration, new capacity unit, new efficiency factor should be left blank. If new efficiency factor and new capacity units are defined for the date range for the selected resource the system identifies the timetable the resource is using based on the resource calendar attached to it and applies the efficiency factor to only those timetables.

The system retrieves the resource details based on the fields specified, if department is selected along with resource number the system retrieves the resource that belongs to the department. If only department is selected then the system retrieves all the resources that belong to the department. If resource calendar is entered then the system retrieves all the resource numbers using the specified resource calendar from the resource master.
