Schedule Chart – A Summary of the activity

Component overview

This activity allows you to generate and launch a schedule chart. The schedule chart is represented in the form of bar chart representation. You can select the production controllers and the departments for which the schedule chart must be displayed. You can specify work order and the item to launch the chart. Further, you can also specify the range of resources and dates based on which the chart is displayed. You can specify either one specific field or a combination of fields and can generate the schedule chart accordingly.  The rescheduling of the orders can be done online or can be submitted to the batch process based on the selection of “Schedule Online” field.

The schedule chart lists all the work order loaded on the resources for which you want to perform scheduling. The calendar events for the resources and the work orders are depicted in the form of bars. The corresponding work orders details are listed in the multiline. For each resource selected, the next 10 work orders are listed in the multiline. If there exist any overlapping work orders then that order has to be placed first. On clicking the activity, you can select either “Copy” or “Pack” options. Using the option “Copy” you can either forward or backward schedule the activity based on the start/due date. Using the “Pack” option you can schedule the work orders either infinite scheduling or finite scheduling. Finally, all the activities affected can be saved and updated. If there are previous pending scheduled events, then those events cannot be saved without clearing the same.
