Scheduling – An overview
Introduction
Fast and responsive production scheduling is a key to a good supply chain management. You may maintain the schedule of the work orders in the shop using the basic tools provided along with. This component allows you to manually re-schedule work orders using the interactive Gantt chart, prioritize / re-prioritize the work order, or finite schedule them automatically, or even change the resource capacities in order to make the plans feasible. Finite scheduling may be done based predefined rules for prioritizing orders. You may also view the resource loading pattern, and further refine the schedules if need be.
Feature Highlights
Work Order Finite Scheduling: This helps the user to sequence and schedule the work orders based on the pre-defined criteria. User can sequence the orders belonging to any specific department and assign the predefined Rule on which orders are to be prioritized. Provision to select orders based on the date ranges is available.
Bottleneck Scheduling: Bottleneck scheduling enables the user to sequence and schedule the activities on a specific constraint resource. Here, the user has to specify the resource and the basis on which activities need to be sequenced.
Schedule Chart: User can view the work orders graphically in this chart. Work Orders can also be re-scheduled from this chart.
Modify resource capacity for a specified period.
