Create MPS Sourcing Rule – A summary of the activity
You can allocate the warehouse and the replenishment source in the multiline. If the demands for the items are not met in the distribution warehouse, then you can make use of this screen to allocate the items to the warehouse where the actual source supply is identified. In order to define the source rules, you can select the source and define a warehouse against each source. If the source of the item is purchased or sub-contracted then the supplier of the item has to be specified. For example, if a demand of 100 units has to be met, then you can split the demand quantity according to the source as explained below.

For the 100 units of the item, the first 25units are allocated to the in-house manufacture warehouse, the next 50units are allocated against the purchase warehouse and the remaining 25units are again allocated at the in-house manufacture warehouse. Help facility is provided to search and select the MPS sourcing rule. A link is provided at the bottom of the page to modify the details of MPS sourcing rule. The status of the sourcing rule can be set as “Active”, “Draft” or “Inactive” accordingly.
