This activity allows you to modify or view the activity details. In order to modify the activity details, you need to make the selection from the main screen and accordingly, the system retrieves the work order, process plan sequence number, resource, item and activity details in the header.
In the multiline, you can modify the sub-activities along with start and end date, start and end time, employee codes of persons who are reported against this activity, shifts and the actual resource attached to the activity. You can also delete the activity details by marking the respective rows for deletion. On selecting the records, you can initiate the delete operation to delete the marked records. Once the necessary details are modified or deleted, you can update the changes made to the activities.
Select the “Edit Activity” link at the bottom of the page.
The “Edit Activity” page appears.
Enter the following details:
|
Work Order No. |
The number identifying the work order that has been defined. Mandatory. The work order should be valid and should exist for the login Business Unit. The status should be greater than or equal to “Released” and less than the “Activity finished” and it should not have the status as "Hold". |
|
Help facility available. |

|
PP Seq. |
The number identifying the sequence number of the activity in the work order process plan. Mandatory. The system ensures that the activity should not be backflush activity. The PP Seq should not be left blank and should be valid for the specified work order and should have the status greater than or equal to “Released” and less than “Completed”. |
|
Help facility available. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the process plan sequence details.
The system checks for the validity of the specified Work Order No and PP Seq combination. If it is not valid, then the system displays an error message. If Work Order No and PP Seq are not left blank then the system retrieves all the header and multiline details with relevant values.
The system displays the following:
|
Customer Name |
The name of the customer. |

Zoom facility available. |
|
Item Code |
The code identifying the item of the work order. |

Resource No. |
The number identifying the main resource of the activity. |
|
Order Qty. |
The order quantity of the output item of the work order. If the PP Seq is the first activity of the work order, then the system defaults this field with the order quantity as defined in the work order. If PP Seq is not the first activity, then it checks the first available preceding activity where the status is "Completed" and then displays the order quantity as accepted quantity in the preceding completed activity. Otherwise the order quantity is equalized with the work order quantity. |
|

If actual resource in the multiline is left blank, then the system defaults this field with primary/main resource available for Work Order No and PP Seq combination. If the actual resource is entered then the system validates the actual resource. |
|
Help facility available. |
Note: The value of Actual Resource No field can be same as the Resource No field.
Click the “Delete” pushbutton to delete the selected rows of the “Activity Details” multiline.
The system ensures that at least one record should have been selected for deletion. If any downstream activity is reported as "Started" or if the specified PP Seq is reported as "Activity finished", then the system displays an error message.
For the PP Seq in the multiline:
If there exists a single record to be deleted, then the status of the activity is changed to "Released" after deletion. If there exists more than one record to be deleted and both the records available depict the end of the activity then both the records can be deleted. But if the first record depicts the start and the other record depicts the end of the activity, then they cannot be exclusively deleted. If there exists quantity reporting, then all the available records cannot be deleted. If they are deleted, then the system displays an error message. Otherwise the selected record can be deleted.
The duration of the sub-activity is populated with negative values after deleting the details for the specified PP Seq. If the activity status is "Started" then the system reverts the status to "Released". If any down stream activity immediate non-backflush activity have the status as "Can Be Started" then the system reverts the same as "Released".
Note: If activity and quantity is reported for the downstream activity, then all the records reporting for the present activity with status as "Completed" cannot be deleted.
The system displays success message after deletion of record(s) and refreshes the screen with updated data.
Click the “Edit Activity” pushbutton to edit the activity for the selected work order
The system ensures that at least one record should exist in the multiline. The system checks the header and multiline details should be valid for the work Order No and PP Seq combination. The system checks whether the login user has reporting permission to the "Production Controller" of the work order or to the “Department” to which the work order/activity belongs as defined in the user permission screen. It also checks the user is valid for Work Order No and PP Seq combination.
The sub-activity specified for each record should be valid for the Work Order No and PP Seq combination. For example, if you select “Setup” as sub-activity, then the system checks whether the specified sub-activity is valid for PP Seq as defined in the process plan. Otherwise, it displays an error message.
For the available record in the multiline, if the Work Order No and PP Seq are specified then the sub-activity and actual resource number cannot be modified. If modified, the system displays an error message.
For the PP Seq if the existing record with Start Time/Date, End Date/Time is modified for increasing the duration for the specified sub-activity (Setup/Run/Batch), then the system computes the increased duration with respect to the original duration of the sub-activity. Here only the duration to the extent of increase for the available sub-activity has to be posted along with the activity time type. If the existing record with Start Time/Date, End Date/Time is modified for reducing the duration for the specified sub-activity (Setup/Run/Batch), then the system computes the reduced duration with respect to the original duration of the sub-activity. Here only the duration to the extent of decrease for the available sub-activity has to be posted along with the activity time type. The duration should be passed in negative value.
For the specified PP Seq if there exists a record in the multiline depicting the start/end of the activity and if the status of the PP Seq is "Released", the status of the activity is changed to "Started". To change the status of specific PP Seq at least one record for activity reporting should exist in the multiline.
For the specified PP Seq if Start Date/Time and End Date/Time deviates from the scheduled Start Date/Time and End Date/Time for specific sub-activity considering queue and wait time. If the mode of execution is set as “Batch” then the work order activity is marked for re-scheduling else if mode of execution is set as “On-line” then the activity can be re-scheduled.
The system saves the data and refreshes the screen with updated record in the multiline.
