Using online help

This page allows you to create the details pertaining to the sales team. You can specify the sales team details, which includes sales team code, sales team description, sales team type, sales channel, effective date from, effective date to, target code and territory code. You must specify the sales person code to include the sales person in the team.

This activity also permits you to specify the credit percentage allocated to each team member.

The “Create Sales Team” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Status

The status of the sales team. The possible status available are:

 
  • New – indicates the status of the sales team when the page is launched.

 
  • Active – indicates the newly created sales team.

 
  • Inactive – indicates the deactivated sales team.

 
  • Deleted – indicates the deleted sales team.

Sales Team Code

The unique code identifying the sales team (Alphanumeric, 6) Mandatory. This field must not have space or special characters.

Sales Team Desc.

The description of the sales team code (Alphanumeric, 100) Mandatory.

Sales Team Registered At

The name of the login OU in which the sales team is registered.

Effective Date From

The date from which the sales team is active in the OU (Date Format) Mandatory.

Effective Date To

The date till which the sales team is active in the OU (Date Format) Mandatory. This field must be greater than the “Effective Date From” field.

Sales Team Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of sales team Mandatory.  The values in the drop-down list box are populated from the “Category” business component. The system displays blank as the default value on launch of the page.

Sales Channel

 Use the drop-down list box to select the type of sales channel Mandatory.  The values in the drop-down list box are populated from the “Category” business component. The system displays blank as the default value on launch of the page.

Target Code

The unique code identifying the target set for the sales team (Alphanumeric, 6).

Target Desc.

The description of the target code.

Territory Code

The unique code identifying the territory from where the sales team operates (Alphanumeric, 6).

The description of the territory code.

Sales Person Code

The unique code assigned to the salesperson (Alphanumeric, 6) Mandatory. The sales person code must not have any special characters or spaces in between.

First Name

The first name of the salesperson.

Middle Name

The middle name of the salesperson.

Last Name

The last name of the salesperson.

Effective Date From

The date from which the salesperson is active in the OU.

Effective Date To

The date till which the salesperson is active in the OU.

Status

The status of the salesperson. The status must be “Active”.

The status field gets updated to “Active”.

Created By

The login user ID of the person who has created the “Sales Person” component.

Created Date

The date on which the “Sales Person” component is created.
