Create Repetitive Schedule By Item – A summary of the activity

Component overview

The repetitive schedule is created when there are regular demand for it at equal intervals during a period. For example, there can be a demand for 10,000 numbers of items over a period of one year that has to be scheduled at regular intervals of one month. You must enter the repetitive schedule number and can retrieve or enter the item that has to scheduled along with the product structure to which the item is attached, the sale order no and project (if any).

You can create repetitive schedule of supplies by specifying the type of schedule (Production order, Purchase Request etc) the time buckets and the date from which the schedule starts. The schedule can be defined based on the rate specifying the total no of buckets, the bucketed quantity, anchor date and time bucket. The schedule can also be defined based on the date specifying the end date, anchor date, time bucket and total quantity to be manufactured.

A work order number identifies each schedule generated. The schedules can be viewed in the edit work order interface. If any of the intermediate schedules change that is., in terms of due date, the system will not change the start and end date of the other schedules. However, if the last schedules due date has been modified or the first schedules start date is modified, the start and end dates of the repetitive schedule will get changed. Repetitive orders will have order type as repetitive and will not have order modifiers applied to them. The orders for the repetitive schedules are created online while the planning for the orders, that is, planning for the input materials can be either online or batch. Necessary help screens are provided to search and retrieve the item code, sale order no, project and product structure no details. At the bottom of the screen, you are provided with “Edit Work Order” link to edit the work order details of the repetitive schedule. The repetitive schedule can be generated either in online or batch mode.
