Work Order Management – An overview

Introduction

Work Order management helps you to manage the different types of supplies in the system including unplanned work order, rework orders, MRP generated orders, repetitive schedules, planning orders. You will be able to instantly check the quantity or capacity available for executing the work order. Based on priorities set by the planner / production controller the work orders may be released to the shop for execution. Work order management is integrated with the shop floor execution in getting feedback on the progress of the work order, which in turn alerts the planner on delays, rejections or material shortages (if any) for further course of action.

Feature Highlights

• Edit the Work Orders suggested by MRP/ Unplanned Orders. Changes can be made to the Product Structures, Process Plans, Order Quantities, Start Date, Due date.

• Capability to promise check before taking a new order.

• Ability to split a work order by source (manufactured, Purchased or Sub-contracted).

• Ability to allocate material required for a work order.

• Hold / Release work orders.

• Support for Rework orders.

• Support for raising Stock Transfer Requests.
