View Work Order Numbering Scheme
This page allows you to view the work order numbering schemes defined for the work order. You can select the material planner based on which the work order number scheme details are displayed. The system displays the order category, numbering type defined for the work order, prefix and suffix together with the last number generated for the selected material planner in the multiline. The system also displays the created by and created date details at the bottom of the page.
Select the “View Work Order No. Scheme” link under the “Work Order Management“ business component.
The “View Work Order Numbering Scheme” page appears.
Enter the following details:
Material Planner |
Use the drop-down list box to select the material planner defined in the control unit for which the numbering scheme details are to be displayed. Mandatory. For the selected Material Planner, the system displays the details of the Order Category. |
The system displays the following in the “No Generation Scheme” multiline:
Order Category |
The order category of the work order. It can be “STR (Manual)”, “STR (MRP)”, “Planning Order (MRP)”, “Planning Order (Manual)”, “Planning (Repetitive)”, “MRP Order”, “Repetitive Sch”, “Unplanned”, “Rework”, “PR (MRP)”, “Purchase Request”, “Purchase Order”, “SCR (MRP)” or “Blank”. |
Numbering Type |
The numbering type for each order category. The numbering type will be defaulted from Numbering Class business component of the Inventory Management. |
Prefix |
The string that must appear as the prefix of the identifier of the work order number for the control unit. |
Suffix |
The string that must appear as the suffix of the identifier of the work order number for the control unit. |
Last Generated No. |
The number that indicates the last number generated for the work orders of the type selected above by the system. |
The login user ID and the system date are updated in the “Created By” and “Created Date” fields.
The system displays the following:

The login user ID of the person who has created the work order number scheme. |
Created Date |
The date on which the work order number scheme was created. |
