Create Consumption Account Definition – A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to define consumption accounts for the events - Work Order and Maintenance Plan. Account definition for the maintenance of accounts used by Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) is defined under Consumption Account Definition.

You can define a single account for the event without any parameter or account definition for the event with the parameters. The various parameters identified for consumption account definitions are Work order type, work order category, cost type, maintenance location, plan type and plan category. This activity also allows you to view the consumption account definition.

The system saves the account defined for the event along with the effective from date, if the function default “Consumption Account Based on Parameters” has been set to “No”. The system saves the account defined for the event / parameters combination, if the function default “Consumption Account Based on Parameters” has been set to “Yes”. The system stores the login ID of the user and the system date along with account definition details.
