Maintain Item Routing Scheme

Basics of using Ramco Enterprise series web pages

Using online help

This activity allows you to specify routing schemes for various items. A Routing scheme determines what products flow in each of the link Ids defined for the plant. The links carry the material in the plant to the process units / warehouses or other physical elements. Hence the links may be configured to carry different products at different points in time. The plant may run one production process for a period, say palm oil manufacturing, and at some other point in time a different process, say, soya oil manufacturing and hence the same units and links will carry a different set of items at different times. Hence routing schemes are defined based on the production process. The routing scheme could be across process units

The “Maintain Item Routing Scheme” page appears.

Routing Scheme

The code identifying the routing scheme associated with the link.(Alphanumeric,32)

Help facility available.

Description

The description of the routing scheme (Alphanumeric, 40).

Physical Element Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the physical element type. You can select “Process Area” or “Process Unit”. The system displays “Process Unit” by default on launch of the page.

Physical Element

The code identifying the physical element (Alphanumeric, 40).

Help facility available.

The system displays the following in the header.

Description

The description of the physical element.

The system retrieves and displays the following details, based on the search criteria:

Link ID

The code identifying the link id (Alphanumeric, 16).

Help facility available.

Item

The code identifying the item that flows through the link (Alphanumeric, 32).

Help facility available.

Variant

The code identifying the variant of the item (Alphanumeric, 8).

The system displays the following detail:

IO Type

The type of the item, which could be “Input” or “Output”.

Quantity

The planned quantity of the item for the link id.

UOM

The unit of measurement by which the quantity of the item is determined (Alphanumeric, 15).

Help facility available.

Time

The planned time for the link id.

UOM

The unit of measurement of the time (Alphanumeric, 15).

Help facility available.

Note: The planned values (capacity values) for the link id and item can be given using the quantity, UOM, and time, UOM combination. This defines the design quantities for the routing scheme for that link. For example, if the planned quantity is 100 KL /Hr then quantity is 100,quantity UOM is KL, time is 1 and time UOM is Hr.

The system displays the following:

Item Description

The description of the item.

The system displays the following details:

Created By

The login id of the user who created the routing scheme.

Created Date

The date on which the routing scheme was created.

Modified By

The login id of the user who last modified the routing scheme.

Modified Date

The date on which the routing scheme was last modified.
