Select the “Create Clearance Request” link from the left pane.
The “Create Clearance Request” page appears.
The system displays the following field:

Permit Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the permit. The system fills in this field with all the permit types that have been defined in the “Define Permit Types” activity and that are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank, if you do not wish to specify any permit type. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |

Category |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the category of the clearance request. The system fills in this field all the categories that are defined in the “Maintain User Defined Fields” activity and that are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank, if you do not wish to specify any category. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |

Use the drop-down list box to select the user-defined field. The system fills in this field with all the user-defined fields that have been defined in the “Maintain User Defined Fields” activity and that are in the “Active” status. Enter this field, if the employee who has raised the clearance request is other than the login user. |

Select the “View Referred Equipment/Locations” link at the bottom of the page to view the equipment or location for which clearance request is raised on the basis of the work order, inspection order or calibration order.
Creating clearance request – An overview
This page allows you to create a clearance request. You can create a clearance request using a unique code, which is automatically generated by the system. You can also create a clearance request by copying the details from an existing clearance request.
You can specify the following details for the creation of the clearance request:
The reason for creating the request.
The period for which clearance is required.
The type of the permit that must be raised form the request.
The category to which the request belongs.
The employee or the contractor who has raised the clearance request.
The employee or the contractor who is responsible for holding the clearance permit when maintenance activities are carried out on the equipment or location.
The equipment or location for which clearance is required.
The work order, inspection or calibration order based on which the clearance request is raised.
The system creates the clearance request in the “Fresh” status and stores the login ID of the user who has created the request along with the date and time of creation.
Any one of the following activities must have been performed:
“Create Equipment” activity of the “Equipment Induction” business component.
“Create Location” activity of the “Maintenance Organization” business component.
“Create Work Order” activity of the “Work Order” business component.
“Schedule Work Order” of WO Planning and scheduling business component.
“Create Inspection Order” activity of the “Inspection Order” business component.
“Create Calibration Order” activity of the “Calibration Order” business component.
Copy the details from an existing clearance request
Copy the details from an existing clearance request
You can create a clearance request by copying the details from an existing clearance request.
Specify the clearance request from which details must be copied in the “From Clearance Request” field.
Click the “Copy” pushbutton to copy the details from the clearance request.
The system creates the clearance request by copying the details from the existing request.
