Entering additional details for the equipment

This page allows you to enter additional details for the equipment selected in the main page. Tell me more.

Select the “Additional Details” link at the bottom of the “Create Equipment” page or “Edit Equipment” page.

The “Additional Equipment Details” page appears.

If you wish to enter additional details for an equipment other than the equipment selected in the main page, enter the following field:

Equipment	The equipment for which you wish to enter additional details (Alphanumeric, 30).
	Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the details of the equipment. The description of the equipment is displayed alongside.
	Zoom facility available.

The system displays the following fields:

Equipment

Type

The type of the equipment, which can be “Normal”, “Tool” or “Rotable”.

Enter the following fields:

Purchase Order	The number of the purchase order of the equipment (Alphanumeric, 20).
Vendor Name	The vendor or supplier of the equipment (Alphanumeric, 45).
Purchase Date	The date on which the equipment was purchased (Date Format).
Purchase Price	The purchase cost of the equipment (Decimal).
Manufacturer	The name of the manufacturer of the equipment (Alphanumeric, 45).
Mfg. Sr. No.	The manufacturer serial number for the equipment (Alphanumeric, 40).
MTBF Days	The mean time between failures (MTBF), in terms of days (Decimal).
Production Loss/Hr.	The production loss per hour when the equipment is down (Decimal).
Landmark	The textual description of any physical landmark in the plant that helps in locating the equipment (Alphanumeric, 150). Zoom facility available.
Eqp. Life	The life of the equipment, in terms of the life parameter defined for the equipment (Alphanumeric, 30).

Note: You can specify the equipment life only when the life parameter is defined for the equipment in the “Create Equipment" page.

The system displays the following fields:

Present Value	The present value of the life parameter.
Life Available	The available life of the equipment, calculated as the difference between the equipment life and the present value of the life parameter. The system displays zero if life parameter is not specified for the equipment.
Asset Structure	The asset structure based on which the equipment was created. The system displays this field only if the equipment has been created based on an asset structure.

Enter the following details in the “Warranty And Other Information” group box :

Warranty End Date	The expiry date of the warranty for the equipment (Date Format).
Warranty For	Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the warranty is applicable to Parts or Services of the equipment or for both. The combo is loaded with options “Parts”, “Services” and “Parts And Services”.
Warranty Provided By	The details regarding the warranty provider. (Alphanumeric,150)
Additional Information 1	Any additional information pertaining to the equipment (Alphanumeric, 20).
Additional Information 2	Any additional information pertaining to the equipment (Alphanumeric, 20).
Remarks	Any remarks regarding the warranty. (Alphanumeric,255)

Click the “Edit” pushbutton, to update the additional details entered for the equipment.

The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Created By	The login ID of the user who created the equipment.
Created By	The date on which the equipment was created.
Last Modified By	The login ID of the user who last modified the equipment.
Last Modified Date	The date on which the user has last modified the equipment.

To proceed, carry out the following

Select the “PlaceHolder Details” link at the bottom of the page to specify placeholders to the equipment.

Entering additional details for the equipment– An overview

You can also directly enter an equipment code, other than the equipment selected in the main page, and enter additional details for it.

You can specify the purchase details for the equipment, such as the purchase order number, the vendor from whom the equipment has been purchased, the purchase date, the purchase price, the manufacturer of the equipment and the manufacturer serial number for the equipment.

You can also specify the mean time between failures (MTBF) in days, the production loss per hour when the equipment breaks down, the date on which the warranty expires and any landmark to identify the location of the equipment in the plant. The life of the equipment, in terms of its life parameter, can also be mentioned along with any other additional information relating to the maintenance of the equipment.

You can enter the purchase order, purchase price and purchase date as a part of the purchase details of the equipment.
You can enter the equipment vendor, manufacturer, MTBF days and production loss per hour as a part of manufacturing details of the equipment.
