Select the “Create user defined group” link under the “EAM Maintenance Organization” business component.
The “Create User Defined Group” page appears.
Enter the following fields:

Group Code |
A unique identifier for the user-defined group of locations (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. This field can be a combination of characters and numbers and should not be left blank. |

Enter the textual description of the user-defined group of locations, in the edit box alongside (Alphanumeric, 150). |

Zoom facility available. |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to set the status of the user-defined group of locations. The system provides the options “Active” and “Inactive”. The system sets the field to “Active” by default. |
Enter the following field in the “Location” multiline:

Location Code |
The location to be clubbed under this user-defined group (Alphanumeric, 30). The location should have already been defined in the “Create location” activity of the “Maintenance Organization” business component. The status of the location should be “Active” and the location should be unique in the multiline. |

Press <Enter>. The system displays the “Description” and “Status” fields in the multiline. |

The system fills in the following fields in the multiline:

Desc. |
The textual description of the location. |

Status |
The status of the location which could be “Active” or “Inactive”. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to mark those locations that you do not wish to associate to the user-defined group.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the marked locations from the user-defined group.
Click the “Create” pushbutton, to create the user-defined group.
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

The login ID of the user who created the user-defined group of locations. |

Created Date |
The current date and time. |
|
Last Modified By |
In this activity, this field contains the login ID of the user currently logged in. |
|
Modified Date |
In this activity, this field contains the current date and time. |
