Select the “Define Primary System” link under the “EAM Maintenance Organization” business component.
The “Define Primary System” page appears.
Enter the following fields:

Primary System |
A unique identifier for the primary system (Alphanumeric, 30). This field can be a combination of characters and digits and cannot be left blank. |

Desc. |
Enter the textual description of the primary system in the edit box alongside (Alphanumeric, 150). |

Zoom facility available. |

Apex Loc. |
The apex location of the primary system (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. This location is considered to be at the first level in the hierarchy of locations. Ensure that the location has already been defined in the “Create Location” activity and is in the “Active” status. You cannot modify this field, if you have specified a child location for this location. The textual description of the location is displayed alongisde. Help facility available. |

Any additional information about the system (Alphanumeric, 255). Zoom facility available. |
Click the “Save” pushbutton, to save the primary system.
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Created By |
The login ID of the user who created the primary system. |
|
Created Date |
The date and time on which the primary system was created. |
|
Last Modified By |
The login ID of the user who last modified the primary system. |
|
Last Modified Date |
The date and time at which the primary system was last modified. |
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Build Hierarchy” link at the bottom of the page, to build the hierarchy of locations under the primary system.
Select the “Change Parent” link at the bottom of the page, to move the child locations belonging to the primary system from one parent to another.
Create Location.
You can define a primary location system in this page.
Enter a code for the primary system in the “Primary System” field.
Specify the apex location of the primary system in the “Apex Location” field.
Click the “Save” pushbutton to create the system.
