The “Attach Location Parameters” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Location

The location for which you wish to attach parameters (Alphanumeric, 30).

Zoom facility available.

The system lists in the “Parameters” multiline, the parameters belonging to the “Classification – SubClassification” that has been attached to the location. You can attach more parameters by entering the following field in the multiline.

Parameter

The parameter to be attached to the location (Alphanumeric, 30) Mandatory. Ensure that the parameter is already defined in the “Create Parameter” activity and is in “Active” status.

Help facility available.

Press <Enter>. The system displays the “Type” and “UOM” fields in the multiline:

The system displays the following fields in the multiline:

Type

The type of the parameter, which can be “Technical”, “Attribute”, “Consumption” or “Range”.

UOM

The unit of measurement of the consumption or range parameter.

Hourly Usage

The estimated hourly consumption of the parameter (Decimal). Ensure that the value is positive.

Present Value

The current value of the parameter (Alphanumeric, 30).

Help facility available.

Date

The date on which the present value of the parameter is recorded (Date Format). Ensure that the date is not greater than the current system date. If you leave the field blank, the system sets the field to the current system date.

Time

The time at which the present value of the parameter is recorded (Time Format).

Seq. No.

A unique number that identifies the order in which the parameters must be displayed in the multiline (Integer). Ensure that the sequence number is a positive integer.

If you leave the sequence number blank for all the multiline rows, the system automatically assigns a sequence number to each of them, in multiples of five, on clicking the “Attach Parameters” pushbutton.

Note: If you have left the sequence number blank for some of the multiline rows, the system arranges those rows in the order in which the parameters have been entered in the multiline, and numbers these rows to be the last in the sequence. The system then rearranges the rows in the ascending order of the sequence number and renumbers the rows with multiples of five.

Remarks

Any additional information regarding attaching the parameter to the location (Alphanumeric, 150).

The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Attaching parameters to location – An overview

Create Location - A summary of the activity

Parameters are certain attributes defined for the equipment, which help in monitoring the condition or usage of the equipment. You can attach parameters that are already defined in the “Create Parameter” activity.

If you have already attached a classification to the equipment in the “Create Location” page, the system retrieves the parameters, in the multiline. You can attach more parameters to the location by entering the parameter, the present value of the parameter and the date and time at which the present value of the parameter is recorded. You can also specify the estimated hourly consumption of the parameter, the sequence in which the parameters must appear in the multiline and any other additional information relevant to the parameter.
