Edit Inspection Schedule Template
This page allows you to edit the details of an existing inspection schedule template. Tell me more.

The system lists all the inspection categories that have been defined in the “Define Inspection Categories” activity of the “Inspection Order” business component and are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank, if you do not wish to specify an inspection category. |

Use the drop-down list box to specify the agency, which must execute the inspection. The system provides the following options: |

Clearance |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether clearance from specific authorities is required for carrying out the inspection. The system provides the options: “Required” and “Not Required”. |
Note. If the “Clearance” field is set as “Required”, the system automatically generates a clearance request or a permit based on the option that has been set in the “Option Setting” activity of the “Clearance Permit” business component.

Permit Type |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the type of the permit required. The system lists all permit types that have been defined in the “Define Permit Types” activity of the “Clearance Permit” business component and are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank, if you do not wish to specify any permit type. |

Ensure that the inspection point is already defined in the “Create Inspection Point” activity of the “Equipment Induction” business component and is in the “Active” status. Also ensure that the inspection point is attached to the equipment or location in the “Create Equipment” activity of “Equipment Induction” business component or the “Create Location” activity of the “Maintenance Organization” business component respectively. |

The task or the procedure that must be carried out for the inspection (Alphanumeric, 30). If you have specified a procedure, ensure that the procedure is already defined in the “Create Procedure” activity of the “Task” business component. |

Click the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to delete the parameters from the schedule.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the parameters from the schedule.
Click the “Edit” pushbutton to modify the inspection schedule template.
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

The login ID of the user who created the inspection schedule template. |

The date and time at which the inspection schedule template was created. |

The login ID of the user who last modified the inspection schedule template. |

Select the “Update Associated Schedules” link from the bottom of the page to update the schedules based on the changes made in the template.
Select the “Fixed Schedules” link from the bottom of the page to modify the fixed schedules of the inspection schedule template.
Select the “Interval Schedules” link from the bottom of the page to modify the interval schedules of the inspection schedule template.
Select the “Off Season” link from the bottom of the page to define the period for which inspection need not be done on the equipment or location.
Editing inspection schedule template – An overview
This page allows you to edit the details of an existing inspection schedule template. You can modify the inspection schedule template that is selected from the previous page. You can also directly enter a template in this page and edit its details. You can modify the following details of the inspection schedule template:
The description of the template and its status
Type, priority and category of the inspection schedule template
The lead-time that is required for the generation of the inspection orders
The agency that must perform the inspection
Whether clearance from specific authorities are required for carrying out the inspection. If clearance is required, then the type of the clearance permit that must be raised.
The following details of the parameters can be modified:
The parameter that must be inspected
The inspection point on which the parameter must be inspected
The task or procedure that must be performed for the inspection
Any special tool that is required for the inspection
“Create Work Group” under “Work Group” business component
Specify whether clearance is required or not for carrying out the inspection
Specify whether clearance is required or not for carrying out the inspection
You can specify whether clearance from specific authorities is required for carrying out the inspection order that is raised based on the inspection schedule, which is in turn created from the inspection schedule template.
Set the “Clearance” field as “Required” if clearance is required.
Set the “Clearance” field as “Not Required” if clearance is not required.
If clearance is required, the system automatically generates a clearance request or clearance permit for carrying out the inspection order. This is done when an inspection order, based on the inspection schedule, is generated.
