Select the “Spare Part Requirement” link from the bottom of the main page.
The “Spare Parts Requirement” page appears.
Enter the following field, if you wish to specify spare parts to a task other than the task selected in the main page:

The task to which you wish to specify spare parts (Alphanumeric, 30). |
Press <Enter>. The system displays the details of the spare parts that are already specified to the task, in the “Spares” multiline. |

Enter the following fields in the “Spares” multiline, if you wish to specify standard spare parts for the task:
Item |
The standard spare part to be specified for the task (Alphanumeric, 30). Data entry in this field is mandatory only if you wish to specify a standard spare part for the task. Ensure that the item has already been defined in the “Create Item – Main Information“ under “Item Administration“ business component in the ”Inventory Management System” module of “Ramco Corporate Solutions”. This field cannot be modified. |

The variant of the standard spare part (Alphanumeric, 5). |
Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the “Description” and “Std. Cost/Unit” fields in the mutliline. |

The number of spares required for the completion of the task (Decimal). Ensure that the quantity is positive. If you leave the field blank, the system assigns “1”. |
Warehouse |
The warehouse of the spare part (Alphanumeric, 30). Help facility available |
Item Status |
The status of the item (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure that the status is already defined for the item for the specific warehouse. Help facility available |

The cost per unit of utilizing the spare part. |
Check the box in the ”Select” column of the multiline, to select the spare parts that you wish to delete from the task.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the selected spare parts from the task..
Enter the following fields in the “Non Standard Items” multiline:

The unit of measurement of the spare part (Alphanumeric, 10). Mandatory. Help facility available |

The number of spares required for the completion of the task (Decimal). Mandatory. Ensure that the quantity is positive. The system displays “1”, by default. |
Cost / Unit |
The cost per unit of utilizing the spare part (Decimal). Ensure that cost is not negative. The system displays “0”, by default. |
Check the box in the ”Select” column of the multiline, to select the spare parts that you wish to delete from the task.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the selected spare parts from the task..
Click the “Update” pushbutton to update the details of the spare part.

Select the “Tool Requirement” link from the bottom of the page to specify tools for the task.
Select the “Other Resource Requirement” link from the bottom of the page to specify other resources for the task.
Spare Parts Requirement– An overview
This page allows you to specify the spare parts required for the completion of a task. Spare parts can be either standard or non-standard. Standard spare parts are defined in Inventory and are identified by an item number. Non-standard spare parts are those that are not defined in Inventory and can be directly specified for the task by entering the spare part description, unit of measurement, quantity and cost.
You can specify spare parts to the task selected in the previous page. You can also directly enter a task, other than the task selected in the previous page, and specify spare parts to it.
You can enter the item number of the standard spare part, its variant and the number of spares required for the completion of the task. You can use the help facility to search for the spare part to be specified to the task. You can also modify or delete the spare parts that are already defined for the task.
Note: An item is uniquely identified by the combination of the item number and the variant.
You can enter the details of the non-standard spare parts by entering the description, unit of measurement, the number of spares required and the estimated unit cost of the spare part.
You can modify all the details of the non-standard spare parts and the quantity of the standard spare parts.
“Create Item – Main Information“ under “Item Administration“ business component in the ”Inventory Management System” module of “Ramco Corporate Solutions”, if you are specifying standard spare parts.

Enter the item and variant of the item that is required for the task in the “Item” and “Variant” fields in the “Spares” multiline.
To specify non – standard spare parts
Enter the description of the non – standard spare part that is required for the task in the “Description” field in the “Spares – Non Standard Items” multiline.
