Set Function Parameters – A summary of the activity

The system assigns a number starting from “0000001” for the non-routine tasks that are automatically generated from the work orders.

This activity allows you to define the format in which these non-routine tasks must be numbered, when they are automatically generated in the “Create WO” activity of the “Work Order” business component. You can specify the prefix and the starting number for the non-routine tasks. The system generates a unique number for the newly created non-routine tasks by combining the prefix and the starting number that are entered in this activity.

You are allowed to modify these settings at any time. However, the modified numbering scheme will be applicable only for those non-routine tasks that are newly generated.

Note: If the combination of the prefix and the starting number has already been assigned to an existing routine or non-routine task, the system keeps incrementing the number until a unique number is encountered.
