In this page you can modify the details of a work group. Tell me more
Select the “Edit Work Group“ link in the “Select Work Group” page. Alternatively, select the hyperlinked work group in the multiline of the same page.
The “Edit Work Group“ page appears.
Enter the following field, if you wish to edit a work group other than the work group selected in the previous page:

Work Group |
The work group for which the details must be modified (Alphanumeric, 30). |

Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the details of the work group. The description of the work group is displayed in the edit box alongside. You can enter the modified description (Alphanumeric, 30). Zoom facility available. |
Enter the following fields, to modify the details of the work group:

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the current status of the work group. The system provides the options “Active” and “Inactive”. Set the status as “Inactive”, if you wish to disable the work group from future reference in other activities. |

Planning group |
The planning group to which the selected work group must be associated (Alphanumeric, 30). |
|
Help facility available. |

The system displays the description of the planning group alongside. |

Zoom facility available. |

Press <Enter>. If you have modified the planning group, the system retrieves the description of the modified planning group alongside. |

Type |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the type of the work group. The system lists all the types that have been defined for work group in the “Define Common type” activity of the “Maintenance Organization” business component and of status “Active”. Leave the field blank if you do not wish to define the work group type. |
Click the “Edit Work Group” pushbutton, to modify the details of the work group.
Note: The system updates the details of the work group and sets the “Last Modified By” field to the login ID of the currently logged in user and the “Last modified Date” field to the current system date and time.
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Created By |
The login ID of the user that created the work group. |
|
Created Date |
The date and time at which the work group was created. |
|
Last Modified By |
The login ID of the user that last modified the work group. |
|
Last Modified Date |
The date and time at which the work group was last modified. |
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Associate Employees” link from the bottom of the page to associate employees to the work group.
Select the “Associate Tools” link from the bottom of the page to associate tools to the work group.
Select the “Associate Other Resources” link from the bottom of the page to associate other resources to the work group.
Select the “Set Default Work Group” link from the bottom of the page to change the default work group for the planning group.
Refer the topic, “Changing default work group” for more details.
In this page, you can modify the details of the work group selected in the main page. You can also directly enter a work group other than the work group selected in the main page, and retrieve its details for modification. Details such as the work group description, type, status and planning group can be modified.
The system updates the details of the work group and sets the last modified date and time to the current date and time and stores the login ID of the currently logged in user.

Enter the modified description of the work group in the edit box alongside the “Work Group” field.
Modify the status of the work group in the “Status” field.
Associate the work group to another planning group by changing the planning group in the “Planning Group” field.
Change the type of the work group in the “Type” field.
Click the “Edit” pushbutton.
