Modifying logistic organization details

This page allows you to select a logistic organization to attach or detach a business unit from a logistic organization. You can enter a date from which the mapping or unmapping is effective. A business unit that has been attached to a logistic organization earlier and later detached cannot be attached to another logistic organization if the setup of the organization has been completed. The system stores the login ID of the user and the system date along with the modified details..
Select the “Edit Logistic Organization” link at the bottom of the “Edit Company” page.
The “Edit Logistic Organization” page appears.
Enter the following field:

Logistics Organization |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the logistic organization for the company. All the logistic organizations that have been defined will be available for selection in the ascending order. |
The system displays the following:

Logistics Organization Name |
The name identifying the logistics organization. |
Modify the following field if required:

Effective Date |
The date from which the mapped or unmapped business unit is valid for the logistic organization (Date Format). The date entered in this field must be after the date on which the company was registered. The date entered in this field can be earlier than the system date. |
Note: The date entered in this field must be after the date on which the company was registered.
Modify the following if required in the multiline:

Business Unit |
The code identifying a business unit (Alphanumeric, 20). Mandatory. |
Note: The business unit must be unique to the logistic organization.
The system displays the following in the multiline:

Business Unit Name |
The name identifying the business unit. |

Company Code |
The code identifying the company. |
|
Company Name |
The name identifying the company. |

Status |
The status of the company. |

Start Date |
The date from which the business unit has been attached to the logistics organization. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark a business unit for mapping it to a logistic organization or for unmapping it from a logistic organization.
Note: The business unit selected for mapping must not have been mapped to another logistic organization earlier. If the setup of the organization has not been completed, you can unmap a business unit that has been mapped to a logistic organization and map it again to another logistic organization..
Click the “Map Business Unit” pushbutton to map the selected business unit with the logistic organization.
The system saves the modified details of the business unit in the logistic organization entity along with the date from which the mapping is effective.
The system also updates the login ID of the user and the system date in the “Created By” and the “Created Date” fields.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Map Business Unit – Organization Unit” link at the bottom of the page to enter the details of Business Unit – Organization Unit mapping.
Select the “Maintain Languages” to enter the information pertaining to the logistic organization to Multilanguage.
Select the “Attach Notes” to record your observations.
Select the “View Logistic Organization” link at the bottom of the page to view the details of the Logistic Organization.
Select the “Collaborate” link at the bottom of the page to record or to view the observations or comments or discussions regarding the document.
