Using online help

This activity enables you to deactivate formulae, which are in “Active” or “Inactive” status. You are allowed to only deactivate the “Active” formulae. Active Formulae cannot be deleted.

The system displays the formula details in the multiline as per the search criteria. This activity enables you to deactivate the formula, after specifying the reason code for deactivation.

The “Deactivate Formula” page appears.

Formula

Use the drop-down list box to select the operator for the Formula Search. .

You can enter the formula code in full or specify it partially using a similar character in the first text box provided alongside. The system retrieves all the formulas in the multiline similar to the character entered here.

You can enter a range of formula in both the text boxes provided alongside to retrieve the “In between” formula in the multiline.

Version

Use the drop-down list box to select the operator for the version search.

You can enter the version number in full or specify it partially using a similar character in the first text box provided alongside. The system retrieves all the numbers in the multiline similar to the character entered here.

You can enter a range of version numbers in both the text boxes provided alongside to retrieve the “In between” version numbers in the multiline.

Item Code

Use the drop-down list box to select the operator to search for the Item. The system lists all the item codes that are used in formulae with the specified types in “Type” field

You can enter the item code in full or specify it partially using a similar character in the first text box provided alongside. The system retrieves all the codes in the multiline similar to the character entered here.

You can enter a range of item codes in both the text boxes provided alongside to retrieve the “In between” items in the multiline

IO Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the item type used in the formula to be deactivated. The system lists all the types that are created in the “Create Formula” activity of the current business component.

The system displays “Primary Product” by default.

The system displays the following in the “Available Formulae” multiline:

Formula

The code identifying the formula.

Version

The version number of the formula.

Description

he textual description of the “Formula”.

Formula Class

The code identifying the formula class.

Reason Code

The code identifying the reason for deactivating the formula. This code must have already been defined in the “Maintain Reason Code” activity of the “Common Masters” business component.

The system displays the following:

Description

The textual description of the “Formula”.

Effective From

The date starting from which the formula is effective.

Effective To

The date until which the formula is effective.

Item Code

The code identifying the item.

Variant

The variant of the item.

Description

The textual description of the formula.

IO Type

The type, which is attached to the formula. The system displays one of the following:

  • Primary Input – indicates raw material or intermediate. In certain industries one input item can produce multiple output items. The input item in such a case is defined as “Primary Input”.

  • Primary Product– indicates finished goods or intermediate. In certain industries multiple input items blend to produce a singe output item. The output item in such a case is defined as “Primary Product”..

Activated By

The name of the user who activated the formula.

Activated Date

The date on which the formula was activated.

The system updates the status of the formula to “Deactive”. The system stores the login user ID as Deactivated By and the current date as the “Deactivated Date”.
