Using online help

This page is used to view serial number for inspection.

The “View Serial Number for Inspection” page appears.

Note: This page is applicable only for serial controlled items.

The system displays the following from the previous page.

Request Number

A unique code identifying the inspection request 

Origin ID

The application from where the inspection request is raised, which could be “Quality Management”, “Production”, “Sales”, “Purchase”,” Inventory” or “All”.

Status

The system displays any one of the following statuses.

 

  • "Draft” indicates that the inspection request for the serial controlled items has not been finalized.

 

  •   “Active” indicates that the inspection request for the serial controlled items has been finalized.

Item Code

The code identifying the item for which the inspection request is raised.

Variant

The code identifying the variant of the item.

Description

The description of the inspection plan.

Reference Document Type

The type of reference document that is associated with the request may be any one of the following

 

  • “Inventory”

 

  •  “Production”

 

  •  “Sales”

 

  • “Purchase"

Reference Document Number

The number identifying the reference document.

Reference Line Number

The number identifying the reference line. Example, if the “Reference Document Type” field is set to “Production”, then “Reference Line Number” will be “Production Order Line Number”.

Lot Number

The code identifying the item that is lot cum serial controlled, for which the inspection request is raised.

Inspection Quantity

The quantity of the samples to be inspected. 

UOM

The unit of measurement in which the quantity is measured.

Number of samples

The value indicating the number of samples that must be inspected

Retention Samples

The value indicating the number of samples retained for some specific reason. Example, if the sample size is 100 and if “10” is specified here, it implies that 10 items are retained for a specific reason, which could be inspected later.

Quantity per Sample

The quantity specifying the sample size.

UOM

The unit of measurement in which the quantity is measured

The system displays the following in the multiline.

Serial Number

The unique serial number of the serial controlled item. The system displays all the serial numbers specified in Sales or Purchase or Inventory.

For Inspection

The system displays any one of the following options

 

  •   “Yes” indicates that the serial controlled item is taken  for inspection.

 

  •   “No” indicates that the serial controlled item  is not  for inspection

Remarks

The remarks pertaining to the inspection of the serial controlled items.

The system displays the following below the multiline

Created By

The name of the user who created the inspection request.

Created Date

The date on which the request was created.

Modified By

The name of the user who last modified the inspection request.

Modified Date

The date on which the request was last modified.
