Basics of using Ramco Enterprise series web page

Using online help

This activity allows you to select the inspection request for viewing. You can directly enter the inspection request number if you know the exact number or carry out the search using inspection request number, date on which the inspection request is raised or its type. The system displays the inspection request details in the multiline as per the search criteria.

You can also view the login user ID and the server date along with the modification details.

Click the “View Inspection Request” link from the “Quality Management” business component.

The “View Inspection Request” page appears.

Enter the following in the “Request Details” group box:

Request Number

The code identifying the inspection request to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 18). Mandatory.

The system displays the following:

Requested Date & Time

The date along with the time, on which the inspection request was raised (Date Format).

Type

The inspection request type, which could be one of the following:

 
  • Quality Clearance - indicates that the item is requested for quality clearance from the origin to the quality department. The origin could be, purchase, production, material management application.

 
  • In-Process – indicates that the inspection request is raised during production and the feedback will be sent to the previous stage of production.

Result Expected Date Time

The date along with the time, on which the feedback of the quality inspection must be specified (Date Format).

Inspection Plan Id

The code identifying the inspection plan to be associated with the “Request No.” to be modified (Alphanumeric, 50) Mandatory. The inspection plan id must have been already specified in the “Create Inspection Plan” page of the current business component.

Description

The textual description of the inspection plan.

Control Point ID

The code identifying the control point for which the inspection needs to be carried out. The control point ID is displayed from the “Create Controlpoint Definition” page of the current business component.

Description

The textual description of the control point.

The system displays the following in the “Item Details” group box:

Item Code

The code identifying the item for which the inspection request is raised.

Variant

The code of the item variant.

Description

The textual description of the item or item variant.

Origin ID

The applications from where the inspection request is raised, which could be “Quality Management”, “Production”, “Sales”, “Purchase” "Inventory" or “All”.

Lot Number

The code identifying the lot, if the item is lot controlled.

Sub Lot Number

The code identifying the sub lot if the item is sub-lot controlled.

Container Item Code

The code identifying the item available in the container (Alphanumeric, 32).

Container ID

The code identifying the container (Alphanumeric, 18).

Reference Document Type

The reference document type that is associated with the request.

Reference Document Number

The number identifying the reference document associated with the request.

Reference Line Number

The number identifying the reference line associated with the request.

The system displays the following in the “Sampling Details” group box:

Inspection Quantity

The quantity of the samples for which the inspection request is raised (Integer). Ensure the quantity is a positive integer.

UOM

The unit of measurement of the inspection quantity.

Sample Size

The value indicating the sample size for which the inspection must be carried out

Retention Samples

The value indicating the quantity of the sample, which is retained for some specific reason. For example, if the sample size is 100 and if “10” is specified here, it indicates that 10 items are retained for some specific reason, which could be inspected later.

Quantity per Sample

The quantity specifying the sample size (Integer). It is mandatory to enter the quantity if the “Sampling Type” is set to “% based” or “Square Root”.

UOM

The unit of measurement in which the quantity is measured (Integer). It is mandatory to enter the UOM if the “Quantity per Sample” has a value. Ensure the UOM is a positive integer and must be in “Active” status.

Reason Code

The code specifying the reason for modifying the request.

Description

The textual description of the reason code.

Identification Number

Any additional remarks pertaining to the reason code.

The system displays the following:

Created By

The name of the user who created the inspection request.

Created Date

The date on which the request was created.

Modified By

The name of the user who last modified the inspection request.

Modified Date

The date on which the request was last modified.

The “View Serial Number for Inspection” page appears.

Note: The link is applicable only for serial controlled items.
