View Sample Details – A summary of the activity
This activity allows you to retrieve and view the sample details for a given quality inspection request number.
Select the “View Sample Details” link from the “Final Clearance Feedback” page.
The “View Sample Details” page appears.
Enter the following field:
Request No |
The number identifying the inspection request for which you want to record the sample details. |

The system fetches and displays the entire sample details for the specified inspection request number on pressing the <enter> key on the above field:
Origin ID |
The application from where the inspection request is raised, which could be “Quality Management”, “Production”, “Sales”, “Purchase”, “Inventory” or “All”. |
Type |
The system displays the type of inspection request is displayed. |
Item Code |
The code identifying the item being inspected. |
Variant |
The code identifying the variant of the item. |
Description |
The description of the item. |
Ref Doc Type |
The type of reference document that is associated with the inspection request. |
Ref Doc No |
The number identifying the reference document associated with the request. |
Ref Line No |
The number identifying the reference line associated with the request. |
Lot No. |
The code identifying the lot, if the item is lot controlled. |
Sub Lot No. |
The code identifying the sub-lot, if the item is sub lot controlled. |
Container Item Code |
The code identifying the item in the container in case the item supports containerization. |
Container ID |
The code identifying the container. |
UOM |
The unit of measurement for the given container id. |
Inspection Quantity |
The total quantity of items inspected. |
Number of Samples |
The sum of the samples displayed in the multiline. |
The following details are displayed in the Sample Details multiline:
Sample No |
The system displays the sample number pertaining to the specified inspection request for which sample details have been entered in the Record Sample Details activity. |
Sample Status |
Indicates the status of the sample which could be “Accepted” or “Rejected”. |
Accepted Quantity |
The accepted quantity of the sample if the status is accepted. |
Rejected Quantity |
The rejected quantity of the sample if the status is rejected. |
Rejection Code |
If the sample status is rejected, then the rejected code that is applicable for rejecting the sample item is displayed. |
Rejection Description |
The description is displayed for the specified rejection code. |
Root Cause Code |
If the sample status is rejected, then the root cause code that is applicable for rejecting the sample is displayed. |
Root Cause Description |
The description is displayed for the specified root cause code. |
Remarks |
Relevant remarks regarding the sample . |
Click the Retrieve Check List button to retrieve the checklist details for non attribute based inspection requests
The following details are displayed in the Check List Details multiline:
Standard Operating Procedure |
The description of the standard operating procedure is displayed for the selected sample when you click the Retrieve Check List button. The Selected sample appears in the Sample Number field above the Check List Details multiline. |
Check List Status |
Yes or No indicates the checklist status. |
Rejection Code |
The rejection code that is applicable for the rejected sample. |
Rejection Description |
The description is displayed for the specified rejection code. |
Root Cause Code |
The root cause code that is applicable for the rejected sample. |
Root Cause Description |
The description is displayed for the specified root cause code. |
Remarks |
Relevant remarks regarding the checklist for the specified sample. |
The system displays the following at the bottom of the page:
Created By |
The login id of the user who created the sample details. |
Created Date |
The date when the sample details were created. |
Modified By |
The login id of the user who last modified the sample details. |
Modified Date |
The date when the sample details was last modified. |
Select the “View Notes” link provided in the page to view the notes.
