Material Requirements
This page allows you to enter the project or sub project code and view the material requirements for it. You can refine the search by selecting the particular task group, work area and subcontract. You can define the quantity to be ordered and the date on which it is required and the warehouse code in which it is kept.
Select the Material Requirements link at the bottom of "Task Mapping" page.
The Material Requirements page appears.
The system displays the following details in the group box:
Status |
The status of the project. The status of the project can be Shortclosed, Closed, Deleted, Approved,“Draft”, “Fresh”, “Revision” and “Under Revision”. |
Enter the following details in the group box:
Proj./Sub Proj. Code |
The unique code identifying the project or sub project. Mandatory On press of the Enter key the system retrieves the project details according to the project code entered here. |

Note: On ENTER of Project Code; the system fetches only those tasks from Task Mapping, which are not mapped as complementary task.
The system displays the following details in the group box:
Proj./Sub Proj. Name |
The name of the project or subproject. |
Revision No. |
The unique number identifying the revision. |
Parent Project Code |
The unique code identifying the parent project. |
Parent Project Name |
The name of the parent project. |
The system displays the following details in the "Scheme Details" group box (This section will be made available only for construction projects)
Scheme |
The name of the scheme. Help facility available. |
Scheme Desc. |
The descriptive information of the scheme. |
Scheme Type |
The type of the scheme. |
Land Area |
The land area of the Scheme. |
Construction Area |
The construction area of the Scheme. |
Saleable Area |
The saleable are of the Scheme. |
Finance Book |
The finance book of the Scheme. |
Enter the following details in the "Search" group box:
Task Group |
Use the drop-down list box to select the task group. The task groups defined in the Task Mapping page gets populated here. |
Task Code |
Use the drop-down list box to select the task code. The task codes defined in the “Project – Task Mapping” page gets populated here. |
Work Area |
Use the drop-down list box to select the work area. The work area defined in the Task Mapping page gets populated here. |
PR / MR Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the purchase request type. The options are “Dropship” and “General” |
Sub Contract |
Use the drop-down list box to select the subcontract values. The subcontract values defined in the Task Mapping page gets populated here. |
Transaction Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the transaction type of the material requirements. The options are “PR”, “PO” and “MR”. This combo will be loaded only with ‘PO’ when this page is launched by taking the link ‘Generate Purchase Order’ link. |
WBS ID. Wise Requirement |
Use the drop-down list box to select the work break down structure identification number requirement of the material. The options are “No” and “Yes”. |
Item Types to be fetched |
Us the drop-down list box to fetch the item categories of the material. The options are “All”, “Stockable Items” and “Service Items”. |
Item Code |
The unique code identifying the item. Help facility available. |
Item Variant |
The variant of the item. Help facility available. |
Click the "Search" pushbutton to search the material requirement details according to the search criteria(s) provided.
Enter the following details in the “Default Entries” group box:
Order At OU |
Use the drop-down list box to select the organization unit, where the purchase component is deployed. |
Receipt At OU |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the receipt at organization unit. It is loaded with the login organization units. |
A/C Usage |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the account usage. The account usages which has been mapped for the event gets populated. |
CC Usage |
Based on the account usage field and the project code, the value gets loaded. The cc usages which has been mapped with the cost centre. |
Finance Book |
Use the drop-down list box to select the default finance book that is applicable to the material requirement. The combo is loaded with the FB’s mapped against the login user in EMOD – User – FB mapping for the component – Project Detailing. |
Warehouse Code |
The warehouse code. The warehouse codes defined in the “Receipt At OU” gets populated. |
Need Date |
The material required date. |
Stock Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the stock status. The combo is loaded with “Accepted” and “Conditionally Accepted”. The system displays “Accepted” by default on launch of the page. |
SO No. |
The sale order With respect to which the Purchase request is being made. Help facility available. |
Dropship ID |
The Customer’s address ID codein case of a dropship consignment where the consignment will be directly delivered by the supplier. |
Numbering Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the numbering type of the purchase request. |
Allocation Method |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the allocation method. The system displays the following options “None”, “Manual”, “Early Expiry Date”, “FIFO”, “LIFO”, “Min-Zone Bin”, “Max – Zone Bin”, “Picking Priority” and “Latest Expiry Date”. |
Stock Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the stock status. The options are “Accepted: and “Conditionally Accepted”. |
Numbering Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the numbering type of the material request. |
Click the "Default" pushbutton to obligate the material requirement details according to the default entries provided.
Note: The “Default Entries” group box is visible, if the Material Requirements link is launched through Generate PR activity.
The system displays the following details in the "Material Requirements" multiline:
WBS ID |
The unique number identifying the work break down structure. |
Item Code |
The unique code identifying the item. |
Item Variant |
The variant of the item. |
Item Description |
The descriptive information of the item. |
UOM |
The UOM of the item. |
Work Area |
The work area of the item. |
Required Qty. |
The required quantity of the item for the task. |
Available Qty. |
The available quantity of the particular item as available in the project warehouses. |
Qty. in Short |
The total quantity that is on short. |
Enter the following details in the "Material Requirements" multiline:
Qty. to be Ordered |
The total quantity that has to be ordered. |
Need / Due Date |
The date on which the quantity is required / due. |
Warehouse Code |
The unique code identifying the warehouse in which the items are kept. |

The system displays the following details in the "Material Requirements" multiline:
Stock In Hand OU |
The stock in hand available in the login OU for the item. |
Already Raised Qty |
The quantity of items which are already raised. |
Enter the following details in the "Material Requirements" multiline:
SO NO. |
The sale orders which is mapped to the project, used as a reference for the purchase request. |
SO Line No. |
The sale order line number. |
Dropship ID |
The Customer’s address ID in case of a dropship consignment where the consignment will be directly delivered by the supplier. This is mandatory in case a dropship PR is being raised. |
Note: The fields “SO NO.”, “SO Line No.” and “Dropship ID” are visible, if the Material Requirements link is launched through Generate PR activity.
MR Qty |
The required material quantity |
MR Qty. Already Raised |
The quantity which have been already requested in authorized MRs. |
Note: The fields “MR Qty.” and “MR Qty Already Raised” are visible, if the Material Requirements link is launched through Generate WO activity.
Click the "Maintain" pushbutton to manage the material requirement details.
Click the “Generate MR” pushbutton to generate the material requirement.
The system generates the material requirement in fresh/authorized status.
Click the "Generate PR" pushbutton to generate the purchase requirement.
Note: The “Generate PR” pushbutton is visible if the Material Requirements link is launched through Generate PR.
Click the “Generate PO” pushbutton to generate the purchase order.
Note: The “Generate PO” pushbutton is visible when the Material Requirement activity is launched through Generate Purchase Order hyperlink from the Generate Purchase Documents activity.
Click the "Generate" pushbutton to generate the work order.
Note: The “Generate” pushbutton is visible if the Material Requirements link is launched through Generate WO.
Click the “Generate STO” pushbutton to generate stock transfer order.
Note: The “Generate STO” pushbutton is visible when the Material Requirement activity is launched through Generate Stock Transfer order activity.
To proceed, carry out the following:
Select the "Specify Reference Documents" link at the bottom of the page to specify the reference document details.
Select the “View STI” link at the bottom of the page to view the stock transfer invoice details.
Select the “View STO” link at the bottom of the page to view stock transfer order details.
