Subcontract Request (SCR) – Component Overview

Introduction

The Subcontract Request component facilitates the generation of a request for subcontract of items / services that are outsourced to a subcontractor. A unique Subcontract Request Number identifies each such request document.

Feature Highlights 

• Provision to stipulate the place of receipt and storage of the items requested and the organization unit that would generate the ordering document.

• Provision to specify the delivery schedules & the usage of the items requested, the quality attributes, list of items to be issued to the subcontractor and list of items to be received from him after completion of the subcontracted work.

• Facility to raise a SCR in “Express” mode thereby triggering the automatic generation of its equivalent Subcontract Order Document.

• Provision to access the stock details of a particular item at a warehouse / organization unit level to arrive at a better decision on the quantity of subcontracted items to be requested.
