Inquire Warehouse Stock – A Summary of the Activity

This activity allows you to query the stock information for a warehouse in an organizational unit (OU). Each OU has a number of storage units called “Warehouse” that enables you to define the item storage hierarchy. In this activity, you can specify the stocking point or OU within the warehouse whose stock details you want to inquire, is defined. You can inquire the stock information only for item/variants whose item type is not Service/Model. The system retrieves stock details Stock Maintenance ” component depending on the warehouses you have selected for stock information inquiry. 

Transactions such as work order require users to know the availability of stock in the different warehouses of an organizational unit, before they can request for items from the warehouse. Similarly, transactions such as issues, returns and receipts entail the user to know the stock availability in the various zones and bins defined under a warehouse. These services are provided by this activity.

The “View Serial Information” page allows you to view all the details of serial controlled item along with its reference serial number. The “Inquire Attribute Based Lot Stock” page allows you to inquire stock details for lot - controlled items based on their attribute details or lot details. The “Inquire Attribute Based Serial No. Stock” page allows you to inquire stock information for serially numbered items based on their attribute details or serial numbers. The “View Item Information” page allows you to view the details of items.
