Set Warehouse Properties

This page allows you to set the properties of a warehouse. A warehouse can store a variety of items, in different stock statuses and also various types of receipts, issues and returns are possible on those items. You can specify the type of items, stock statuses, and the transactions that are allowed in the warehouse, using this page.

Select the “Set Warehouse Properties” link at the bottom of the “Create Warehouse Information” page.

The “Set Warehouse Properties” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Warehouse Code	The code identifying the warehouse for which you need to set the properties.
Warehouse Desc.	The textual description of the warehouse.

Enter the following fields in the “Item Types Allowed” group box:

Raw Material	Check the box to allow storage of raw materials in this warehouse.
Spare Part	Check the box to allow storage of spare parts in this warehouse.
Consumable	Check the box to allow storage of consumable items in this warehouse.
Intermediate	Check the box to allow storage of intermediate goods in this warehouse.
Tool	Check the box to allow storage of tools in this warehouse.
Utility	Check the box to allow storage of utility items in this warehouse.
Component	Check this box to allow storage of components in this warehouse.
Finished Product	Check the box to allow storage of finished products in this warehouse.
Capital Item	Check the box to allow storage of capital items in this warehouse. For the Warehouse Code displayed in the header, if the Capital Warehouse Check Box in the 'Create Warehouse Information ' page is unchecked, then Capital Item in the 'Item Type Allowed' must be unchecked
Pack	Check the box to allow storage of packed items in this warehouse.
Scrap	Check the box to allow storage of scrap in this warehouse.
Sundry	Check the box to allow storage of sundry items in this warehouse.
Phantom	Check the box to allow phantom item types in this warehouse.
Container	Check the box to allow container item types in the warehouse

Enter the following fields in the “Transactions Allowed” group box:

Purchase	Check this box in the “Receipt” column to allow receipt of items for purchase transactions in this warehouse.
Production	Check this box in the “Receipt” column to allow receipt of items for production transactions in this warehouse.
Maintenance	Check this box in the “Receipt” column to allow receipt of items for maintenance transactions in this warehouse.
Stock Transfer	Check this box in the “Receipt” column to allow receipt of items for stock transfer transactions in this warehouse.
Unplanned	Check this box in the “Receipt” column to allow receipt of items for unplanned transactions in this warehouse.
Sales	Check this box in the “Issue” column to allow issue of items for sale transactions in this warehouse.
Production	Click this box in the “Issue” column to allow issue of items for production transactions in this warehouse.
Maintenance	Check this box in the “Issue” column to allow issue of items for maintenance transactions in this warehouse.
Stock Transfer	Click this box in the “Issue” column to allow issue of items for stock transfer transactions in this warehouse.
Sub Contract	Check this box in the “Issue” column to allow issue of items for sub contracting transactions in this warehouse.
Inventory	Check this box in the “Issue” column to allow issue of items for inventory transactions in this warehouse.
Unplanned	Check this box in the “Issue” column to allow issue of items for unplanned transactions in this warehouse.
Sales	Check this box in the “Return” column to allow return of items that are sold.
Production	Check this box in the “Return” column to allow return of production items.
Maintenance	Check this box in the “Return” column to allow return of maintenance items.
Inventory	Check this box in the “Return” column to allow return of inventory items.
Container Transfer	Check this box in the “Others” column to allow transfer of containers.
Stuffing	Check this box in the “Others” column to allow stuffing of containers.
Destuffing	Check this box in the “Others” column to allow destuffing of containers.
Product Conversion	Check this box in the “Others” column to allow product conversion.
Expiry Date Improvements	Check this box in the “Others” column to allow improvements in the expiry date.

The system displays the following in multiline of the “Stock Status Allowed” group box:

Stock Status

All the stock statuses that are “Active” and defined in the “Stock Status Definition” component are displayed here.

Enter the following fields in the multiline of the “Stock Status Allowed” group box:

Permissible

Use the drop-down list box to specify if the stock status is permissible in this warehouse. The system lists the options “Yes” and “No”. The system sets this field to “Yes” by default.

Click the “Set Warehouse Properties” pushbutton to set properties for the warehouse.

The system saves all the details for the warehouse code

If the warehouse code in the header is a Capital Warehouse and all transactions are allowed, then on submission of the page if any transaction is not allowed, the system will not allow and update values in the 'All transactions' group box”. If the warehouse code in the header is a Non Capital Warehouse and all transactions are allowed, then at the time on submit if any transaction is not allowed, the system will not allow and update values in the 'All transactions' group box. If the warehouse code in the header is a Non Capital warehouse and all stock statuses are allowed, then on submit if any stock status not allowed, the system will not allow and update the values defined under 'All stock status ' group box.
