Select the “Maintain Codes” link under the “Unit Induction” business component.
The “Maintain Codes” page appears.
Enter the following field details in the “Code Details” group box:

Codes |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code .The combo is loaded with values Unit Category, SWO Type, SWO Category and Blank. The system displays blank by default on launch of the page. |
Enter/Modify the following details in the “Code Type Details” group box :

Seq No |
The number identifying the sequence in which the code is created (Integer). |

Default |
Use the drop-down list box to set the default code type. The combo is loaded with values “Yes” and “No”. The system displays “No” by default on launch of the page. |

Code Type |
The type of the code (Alphanumeric, 30).Mandatory. |
|
Code Desc. |
The description of the code (Alphanumeric, 50). Mandatory. |

Code Attribute |
Use the drop-down list box to select the attribute of the code. The combo is loaded with values Installation, Movement, Repair, Preventive Maintenance and Blank. The system displays blank by default on launch of the page. |
Note: When Code is selected as “Unit Category” or “SWO Category” in the header then the Code Attribute should be selected as blank. When code is selected as “SWO type” in the header then the Code Attribute should have a value other than blank.

Parent Category |
Indicates the parent category of the code. |
Note: The Parent Category field is visible, when the Code is selected as “Unit Category”.

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the code. The combo is loaded with values Active, Inactive and Blank. The system displays blank by default on launch of the page. |
The system throws an error message on clicking the “Maintain Codes” pushbutton when
1. Code is not selected in the header and code type is defined in the multiline.
2. No values are entered both in the header and in the multiline.
The system displays the following in the multiline:

Created By |
The login user ID of the user who created the code details. |
|
Created Date |
The date on which the code details were created. |
|
Modified By |
The login user ID of the user who last modified the code details. |
|
Modified Date |
The date on which the code details were last modified. |
Click the “Maintain Codes” pushbutton to save the code details.
While saving the code type, if the sequence number is left blank, then the sequencing is done in the order in which the code type is entered. If any of the code type in the multiline is set as default then the defaulted code type will have the first sequence number followed by the order in which the code types are entered.
The system throws a success message on creation as well as on modification of the code.
To proceed, carry out the following
