Basics of using Ramco Enterprise series web page

Using online help

The hierarchical structure, build through the unit family, can be exploded and configured as individual units. This configuration set up is done for a particular customer – location. On generation, individual unit codes are created and preventive maintenance schedules are generated if applicable.

The “Unit Configuration Setup” page appears.

Note: Clicking this icon available near certain fields takes you to the help page of the respective field.

Status

The status of the configuration. (Display Only.) It can be either "Fresh" or "Generated".

Configuration No.

A unique number identifying the configuration unit.

Date

The date on which the configuration was created.

Numbering Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the numbering type for the unit configuration setup. The combo is loaded with the values defined in the Numbering Class for the Transaction Type – Unit Configuration.

Unit Family No.

A unique number identifying the unit family.

Note: The exploded structure of the unit family is retrieved based on the number of child units.

Unit Family Description

The detailed description of the unit. (Display Only)

Version No.

A unique number identifying the unit family  version.(Display Only)

Parent Unit Type

Indicates the parent unit type. (Display Only)

Customer Code

A unique code identifying the customer.

Customer Name

The name of the customer. (Display Only)

Location

The location at which the unit is to be configured.

The system displays the following details in the multiline.

S. No

A unique number identifying the family serial number.

Unit Type

Indicates the unit type.

Level

Indicates the parent child hierarchy level.

Unit No.

A unique number identifying the unit.

Parent Unit

Indicates the parent unit type.

Work Group

Indicates the service work group to which the unit belongs.

Vendor

The vendor or supplier of the unit.

Manufacturer

The manufacturer details of the unit.

Warranty End Date

The date on which the unit warranty ends.

Warranty Provided By

The name of the person who provided the warranty details.

Equipment No.

A unique number identifying the equipment. (Display Only)

Equipment Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the equipment type to which the unit belongs to. The combo is loaded with “Normal” and “Rotable”. The system displays “Normal” by default on launch of the page.

Criticality

Use the drop-down list box to select the criticality of the unit. The combo is loaded with “Medium”, ‘High” and “Low”. The system displays “Medium” by default on launch of the page.

Equipment Condition

Use the drop-down list box to specify the equipment condition. The combo is loaded with “Running” and “Maintenance”. The system displays “Running” by default on launch of the page.

Item Code

A unique code identifying the item.

Variant Code

A unique code identifying the item variant.

Description

The detailed description of the item. (Display Only)

Serial No.

A unique serial number identifying the unit.

Make

Indicates the unit's make details.

Installation Date

The date on which the item is installed. This date should be equal to or earlier than the system date.

The system displays the following.

PM Template

Indicates the preventive maintenance template of the unit.

PM Schedule

Indicates the preventive maintenance schedule of the unit.

Next PM Visit

Indicates the next schedule details of preventive maintenance visit.

SLA End Date

The date on which the service level agreement ends.

The system creates the configuration number in Fresh status for the unit family number and version combination.

The system generates the Unit number based on the numbering series for unit generation in Set function parameter. Corresponding equipment number is also created and is attached to the unit.

Through the equipment, parent child hierarchy is also build. This is done through equipment movement transaction.

If any PM templates are attached to the unit, PM schedules are generated.

The parent child relationship is broken.

Additional Units can be added to the structure before or after the generation of Unit Numbers

Parent Unit

Use the drop-down list box to select the parent unit.

Child Unit Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the child unit type to add to the respective configuration number.

Unit No.

A unique number identifying the unit.

PM Template

Indicates the preventive maintenance template.

Note: If unit is added before generation of unit

The system adds the unit with/without equipment code.

The system auto generates the equipment code and creates the movement transaction, if the unit does not have equipment code,

If unit is added after generation of units

You can add a unit, which has a corresponding equipment code attached to it.

The system displays the following details in the “Data History” group box:

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the unit configuration details.

Created Date

The date on which the unit configuration details were created.

Modified By

The login ID of the user who last modified the unit configuration details.

Modified Date

The date on which the unit configuration details were last modified.
