This page allows you to search and select the customer group codes. Tell me more
Select the “Activate/Inactivate Customer Group” link under the “Customer”business component.
The “Select Customer Group” page appears.
Enter the following detail:

Customer Group Code |
The code identifying the customer group. (Alphanumeric, 6) |
Select the “Activate/Inactivate Customer Group” link at the bottom of the page to activate or deactivate the customer group.
Enter the following details in the “Search Criteria” group box:

The description of the customer group code. (Alphanumeric, 40) |

Controlled Group |
Use the drop-down list box to select whether the customer group is user-defined or system defined. The options available are “Yes” and “No”. The system displays “Yes” as the default value on launch of the page. |

Customer Code |
The code identifying the customer belonging to a particular customer group (Alphanumeric, 16). |

Customer Name |
The name of the customer corresponding to the customer code (Alphanumeric, 40) |

Group Type Code |
The code identifying the group type of the customer. If controlled group field is set as "Yes", the group type code field must be "Tax", "Price", "Bill", "Disct", "Authn", "Dun", "Aging", "Reprt", "Rappl", "Accnt", "CC" or "SR". If controlled group is set as “No”, the “Group Type Code” is user-defined. (Alphanumeric, 5) |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the customer group. The available options are “Active”, “Inactive” and “Both”. The system displays “Both” as the default value on launch of the page. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton.
The system displays the following customer group details in the “Search Results” multiline. The status of the customer group must be “Active” or “Inactive”. At least one row must be retrieved in the multiline.

A text that specifies whether the customer group is user-defined or system defined. |

The status of the customer group. There are two possible options, which includes “Active” or “Inactive”. |
Enter the following field:

Reason Code |
The reason for which a customer group is activated or deactivated. (Alphanumeric, 10) Mandatory |

The system retrieves the reason description corresponding to the reason code.

The description of the reason code. |
Check the “Select” column from the multiline.
Click the “Activate Customer Group” pushbutton to activate the customer group code corresponding to the selected column.
The status of the customer group code must be “Inactive” before you click this button. Status field is updated to “Active”.
Click the “Inactivate Customer Group” pushbutton to deactivate the customer group code corresponding to the selected column.
The status of the customer group code must be “Active” before you click this button. Status field gets updated to “Inactive”.
Note: The "Last modified by" is populated with login id and the "last modified date" is populated with the system date.
To proceed carryout the following:
Select the “Activate/Inactivate Customer Group” link at the bottom of the page to activate or deactivate the customer group.
The Reason Code must be defined in the “Create Category Type” activity of the “Category” business component.
Select Customer Group - An overview
These customer group codes can be deactivated from making further transactions or activated to continue with the transactions. You can directly specify the value of the customer group code you want to activate or inactivate. Incase you are not sure about the customer group code or if you want to activate or inactivate multiple customer group codes; you can carry out a search by specifying the customer group related details in the search criteria. The search result is displayed in the multiline. You can select the customer group codes from the multiline and activate or inactivate it as per your need.
The original status of the customer group code when created is “Active”. Once deactivated, the status gets updated to “Inactive”. The customer group code gets back to its original status once activated.
The link at the bottom of the page permits you to activate or inactivate a particular customer group code.
