This page allows you to modify the option bill details for the selected product structure. Tell me more
Select the “Edit Option Bill” link at the bottom of the page.
The “Edit Option Bill” page appears.
Modify the following details, if required:

The number identifying the product structure. Mandatory. |

The product structure should not be left blank. The product structure should exist in the product master. It should also be valid and should be in “Active” status. The login user should have “View” access permission to the “Maintained By” control unit. The system retrieves the option sequences for the specified PS number and PS sequence number. |

The sequence number identifying the item position in the product structure. If PS sequence is specified, then the system checks the existence of the sequence for the specified PS number. |
Click “Get” pushbutton to retrieve the product structure sequence relevant to the product structure specified.
The system displays the following:

Modify the following details in the “Option Details” multiline, if required:

The option sequence number identifying the position variant for the given position in the product structure. The option sequence should not be repeated. The existing option sequence cannot be modified or added. Mandatory. |
Item code |
The code identifying the item. Mandatory. |

The item code should not be left blank. If variant is left blank, then the item code should be valid and should be in “Active” status. The item should exist in the “Item Administration” business component. If the variant is not left blank, then the item code and variant combination should be valid and should be in “Active” status. The system retrieves the item details for the specified item code and variant (if any). If the item does not have a variant, then the system retrieves the item details for the specified item. If the item has a variant, then the system retrieves the item details for the item and variant combination. If the item has more than one variant and the variant is not specified, then the system retrieves only the item description. |

Modify the following details in the “Option Details” multiline, if required:
Opt. Rule Id/ |
The rule id identifying the option rules defined for the items in the product structure. If rule id is specified, then it should be valid. |

Valid From |
The date from which an item of the product structure is valid. If the date is specified, it should be in correct date format. If the date is not specified, then the system displays “Low Date” as the default date. The valid from date should be lesser than the valid to date. |
Valid To |
The date to which an item of the product structure is valid. If the date is specified, it should be in correct date format. If the date is not specified, then the system displays “High Date” as the default date. |
Min. Qty. |
The minimum quantity of the item. If minimum quantity is specified, it should be greater than zero. If minimum and maximum quantity is specified, then the minimum quantity should be lesser than the maximum quantity. If the minimum quantity is not specified, the system defaults it with “Low Quantity”. |
Max. Qty. |
The maximum quantity of the item. If maximum quantity is specified, it should be greater than zero. If the maximum quantity is not specified, the system defaults it with “High Quantity”. |
The system displays the following in the “Option Details” multiline:

The production unit of measure of the item. |
ECO Ref. For Change |
The number identifying the engineering change control reference to indicate whether the item is under ECO or not. |
Note: The system checks if the output item/item variant combination is under Engineering Change Request. If it is under ECR, then the product structure can only be viewed and cannot be updated with the modifications made to the product structure.
Click the “Get” pushbutton to retrieve the selected records in the multiline.
Click “Delete” pushbutton to delete the selected rows in the ”Option Details” multiline.
The login user should have “All” permission to the “Maintained By” control unit to delete the details of the PS sequence and option sequence specified, then. The system ensures that at least one row in the multiline should be present. This check is made even in the cases where rows are marked for deletion. If there are rows marked for deletion, the PS sequence should not be blank and should exist for the PS number. The system deletes the option sequence details for the specified PS number and selected PS sequence number and refreshes the screen. After deletion, there should be at least one row.
Check the box in the "Select" column of the multiline to select and modify the option details.
Click the “Edit Option Bill” pushbutton to edit option bill.
The product structure details have to be saved before the option bill is modified. The login user should have “All” or “Modify” access permission to the “Maintained By” control unit. The system saves the option sequence details for the specified PS number and PS sequence number and refreshes the screen.
The login user ID and the system date are updated in the “Created By”, “Created Date”, “Edited By” and “Edited Date” fields.

Edit Option Bill – An overview
You can retrieve the product structure with its sequence number and item for which the option rules that were created can be modified using this screen. The input items for the product structure are retrieved in the multiline. You can modify the option rule by selecting the appropriate option rule ID or the validity dates or the quantities for the selected item.
Apart from modifying, you can also delete one or more item details with the option rules attached to the item by selecting the appropriate rows in the multiline. On selecting the rows, you can initiate the delete operation to delete the rows. Necessary help screens are incorporated to search and retrieve the product structure, item and option rule details. The system updates the modification made to the option bill.
