View BOM Tree

This activity allows you to search the BOM details or planning bill details by entering the search criteria(s). You can enter the explosion quantity and view the BOM tree details.

Select the “View BOM Tree” link under the “Bill of Material Model” business component.

The “View BOM Tree” page appears.

Enter the following details in the "Search Criteria" group box:

Item Code From	The starting range of the item code to be searched. You can enter the criteria in full or specify it partially using the wild card character (*).
Item Code To	The ending range of the item code till which it has to be searched. You can enter the criteria in full or specify it partially using the wild card character (*).
Item Desc.	The descriptive information of the item. You can enter the criteria in full or specify it partially using the wild card character (*).
Plg. Group From	The starting range of the planning group to be searched. You can enter the criteria in full or specify it partially using the wild card character (*).
Plg. Group To	The ending range of the planning group till which it has to be searched. You can enter the criteria in full or specify it partially using the wild card character (*).
Plg. Group Desc.	The descriptive information of the planning group. You can enter the criteria in full or specify it partially using the wild card character (*).
PS Category	Use the drop-down list box to select the PS category. The values "Production", "Costing", "Engineering", "Subcontracting" and "Re-work" get populated. Mandatory
PS Usage	Use the drop-down list box to select the PS usage. The values defined in the PS usage master get populated. Mandatory.
Plant	Use the drop-down list box to select the plant name. The values defined in the masters get populated.
Warehouse Code	The unique code identifying the warehouse. You can enter the criteria in full or specify it partially using the wild card character (*).

Click the "Search" pushbutton to search the details for the entered search criteria(s).

The system displays the following details in the "Search Results" multiline:

Plg. Group	The name of the planning group.
Item Code	The unique code identifying the item.
Variant Code	The unique code identifying the variant of the item.
Desc.	The descriptive information of the item.
UOM	The UOM of the item.
Warehouse Code	The unique code identifying the warehouse.
Plant	The name of the plant.
PS No.	The unique number identifying the PS number or planning bill number.
PS Desc.	The descriptive information of the PS/Planning Bill.

Enter the following details in the group box:

Explosion Qty.

The total explosion quantity.

Click the "View BOM Tree" pushbutton to view the BOM tree details for the entered explosion quantity.
