System Action Messages – A summary of the activity

You can view the action messages already deployed and can either accept or delete the action messages. The planning process generates action messages based on the predefined settings. It also suggests corrective action to be taken for the current or future material/capacity problem using the action messages. In order to retrieve the messages, you can make use of the search criteria and can specify the type of action, action message, action message date, item group, control units or system actions. You can select the system action to display the action messages based on the action carried out by the system. On selecting the system action options the system retrieves those messages that are to be firmed, released, canceled, amended or rescheduled. After specifying the details in the search criteria, you can initiate the search operation to retrieve the action messages that match all or either one of the details specified.

Further, you can use the sort filter to sort the action messages on a particular action type or message, start or end date or the control unit. You can also accept the system action set earlier depending on which the system performs and saves the action message. The action message would have already been hard coded to accept the system action to be taken from within this page. For some action messages, the system action need not be saved and hence the system action need not be enabled. Otherwise, the system action has to be enabled. You also have the facility to send the action messages displayed through email by specifying the path and by enabling the email option. The system action messages can be executed in online or batch mode to accept the action messages immediately or on a later date. On furnishing the necessary details, you can accept the action messages and can also delete the selected action messages in the multiline. This activity also presents you with links to view the stock status and resource-loaded details, supply demand details, modify the associated work orders and amend the sale or purchase orders.
