AutoComplete Definition
This page allows you to define the list edit control in the user interface (UI). The list edit control controls designed under the ILBO are displayed in this page. This activity has three major functionality,
Primary Search Index – You can search the index value by specifying the values greater than zeros. For Example: If you specify the value as ‘aa’, system displays the control name starts with ‘aa’.
Search Column – You can search the data based on column name specified as primary search for the list edit control.
Column Dataset Mapping – You can map the data set with the corresponding controls. For example: If you select the row in the list edit box the system fetches and displays the column data in the corresponding controls.
Select the “AutoComplete Definition” link at the bottom of the “ILBO-X Designer” activity.
The “AutoComplete Definition” page appears.
The system displays the following in the header.
Component Description |
The name of the component. |
Component Name |
The description of the component name. |
Activity Description |
The name of the activity. |
Activity Name |
The description of the activity name. |
ILBO Description |
The name of the ilbo. |
ILBO Name |
The description of the ilbo name. |
Enter the following details in the “AutoComplete Control” group box:
Auto Complete |
Use the drop-down list box to select the auto complete control for defining the column name. The combo is loaded with all list edit controls defined for the ILBO. |
The system displays the following in the “AutoComplete Control” group box.
Control ID |
The description of auto complete control. |
View Name |
The view name of auto complete control. |
Enter the following details in the “Map To Container” group box:

Auto Complete |
If the Reuse list radio button is selected, the auto complete combo is loaded with the controls for which the column name already defined. |
The system displays the following in the “Map To Container” group box.
Control ID |
The description of auto complete control. |
View Name |
The view name of auto complete control. |
Note: The Auto Complete, Control ID and View Name fields will be visible only if the “Reuse List” radio button and “Auto Complete” combo is selected.
Click the “Save” button to save the container details.
The AutoComplete Definition page has 2 tabs.
Enter the following details in the multiline:
Column Name |
The column name which is to be defined for the auto complete control. Press Enter, the system fetches the caption, business term, data type and length in the multiline. |
Note:
1. You cannot reuse the same control name in the entire design process.
2. You can reuse already defined business term for a new control name.
3. You can create new control name and business term for a control.
Caption |
The short description of the column name. |
Business Term |
Use the drop-down list box to select the required business term for the column name. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in the “Masters”. |
Data Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the required data type for the column name. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in the “Masters”. |
Length |
The total length of the data type. |
Precision Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the precision type for the column name. The combo is loaded with “Blank” and “None”. |
Click the “Save” button to save the column details defined for auto complete control.
Tab: Resolve Column Data Mapping
Enter the following details in the header:
Primary Search Column |
Use the drop-down list box to select the column name of the list edit control. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in the “Column Definition” tab. |
Note: Based on the value selected in the primary search column the system enables the column name in the list edit control.
Search Start Index |
The number indicates the search index for the list edit control. |
Combo Button Not Req |
Select the check box, to specify whether the combo button is required for the list edit control or not. |
Enter the following detail in the multiline:
Seq. No. |
The sequence number of the column name. Auto generated. This field is mandatory if “Visible” is checked. |
The system displays the following in the multiline.
Column Name |
The column name which is to be mapped with the control. |
Caption |
The short description of the column name. |
Note: Column Name and Caption are defaulted as defined in “Column Definition” tab.
Enter the following details in the multiline:
Mapped View Name |
Use the drop-down list box to select the view name of the control to be mapped with the column name. The combo is loaded with control view name defined for the ILBO. |
The system displays the following in the multiline.
Mapped Control ID |
The control name defaulted based on the control view name selected in the combo. |
Enter the following details in the multiline:
Visible |
Select the check box, to indicate that the column to be visible in the auto complete control. |
Click the “Save” button to save the mapped column data details.
