Basics of using Ramco Enterprise series web page

Using online help

This page allows you to design the extensions of the existing ilbo. The extension includes tabs, sections and controls. The system generates the web layer deliverables based on the values specified in the properties: version, tab style, language and direction. You can also preview the design of the user interface (UI).

The “ILBO– X Designer” page appears.

The system displays the following in the header.

Component Description

The name of the component.

Component Name

The description of the component name.

Activity Description

The name of the activity.

Activity Name

The description of the activity name.

ILBO Description

The name of the ILBO code.

ILBO Name

The description of the ILBO Code.

Base ILBO

The system indicates that whether the ILBO is base ilbo or extension ilbo.

The ILBO-X Designer page has 6 tabs:

The system saves the details specified in the tabs: Pages, Sections, Controls, Grid Column, Specify Task and Specify Links.

Version

Use the drop-down list box to select the version for designing the ilbo. The combo is loaded with values as defined in the “Masters”. The system displays “HTML” by default on launch of the page.

Tab Style

Use the drop-down list box to select the tab style for designing the ilbo. The combo is loaded with “Inline Tab” and “Outer Tab”. The system displays “InlineTab” by default on launch of the page.

  • Inline Tab – Tab page content is also available within the main page. This option is recommended for all latest features to work.

  • Outer Tab – Each tab is generated as a separate Htm.

Language

Use the drop-down list box to select the language for designing the ilbo. The combo is loaded with values as defined in the “Masters”. The system displays “English” by default on launch of the page.

Direction

Use the drop-down list box to select the direction for designing the ilbo. The combo is loaded with “LTR ( Left To Right)” and “RTL (Right To Left)”. The system displays “LTR” by default on launch of the page.

Note: RTL (Right To Left) is used for the languages like Arabic.

The system shows the design preview of the user interface.

The system generates the web layer deliverables in XML format.

Tab: Pages

The system displays the following in the multiline.

Page Name             

The name of the page. Auto generated based on the description.

Description             

The description of the page name.

Prefix

The prefix for the page name.

Row No.

The position of the tab strip in row wise.

Col No

The position of the tab strip in column wise.

The system displays the following in the multiline.

Base Artifact

Tab: Sections

Page Title                

Use the drop-down list box to select the page title for defining the section details. The combo is loaded with values as defined in the “Page” tab.

Parent Section Name

Use the drop-down list box to select the parent section name. One or more sections can be defined under a section. In this case provide the parent section name while creating child section.

The system displays the following in the multiline.

Section Name

The name of the section. Auto generated based on the description.

Section Title

The description of the section name.

Prefix                       

The prefix for the section name.

Row No.

The position of the section tab in row wise. Auto generated based on last row number.

Note: You can rearrange the sequence of the sections by specifying the upper limit value in the Row No.

Col No

The position of the section tab in column wise.

Section Style

Use the drop-down list box to select the style for the section .The combo is loaded with “Rounded”, “Flat”, “Rounded 1”, “Rounded 2” and “Rounded 3”. The system displays “Blank” by default on launch of the page.

Heading Style

Use the drop-down list box to select the heading style of the section. The combo is loaded with “Raised” and “Flat”. The system displays “Blank” by default on launch of the page.

Visible

Select the check box, to specify the visibility factor of the section that is to “Hide” or “Show” the section in the page.

Border

Select the check box, to specify whether the border is required or not.

Title Required

Select the check box, to specify whether the title section is required or not.

Collapse

Select the check box, to specify whether the section is to be collapsible or not.

Width

The width of the section in pixel.

Height

The height of the section in pixel.

The system displays the following in the multiline.

Base Artifact

Tab: Controls

Page Title                

Use the drop-down list box to select the page title for defining the control details. The combo is loaded with values as defined in the “Page” tab.

Section Title

Use the drop-down list box to select the section title for defining the control details. The combo is loaded with values as defined against the selected page.

The system displays the following detail.

Parent Section

The name of parent section.

Band Control

Select the check box, to place the control in section title strip.

The system displays the following detail.

Sec Base Artifact

The system indicates whether the tab section is base section control or extension section control.

Control Type           

Use the drop-down list box to select the control type. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in the “Masters”.  More Details.

Control Name

The unique name of the control.

Note:

1. You cannot reuse the same control name in the entire design process.

2. You can reuse already defined business term for a new control name.

3. You can create new control name and business term for a control.

Caption

The caption name for the control.

Prefix

The prefix for the control name.

Row No.

The position of the control in row wise. Auto generated based on last row number.

Note: You can rearrange the sequence of the control names by specifying the upper limit value in the Row No.

Col No

The position of the control in column wise.

Seq. No

The sequence number of the control.

Visible Length

The visible length of the control.

Width

The width of the control.

Mandatory

Select the check box, to specify whether the control is mandatory or not.

Property

Click the icon  to set the control properties like, visible length, mandatory etc.

Note: The properties of the base control cannot be modified.

The system displays the following detail.

Option

Click the icon  to define the option details for the control.

Business Term

Use the drop-down list box to select the business term for the control. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in the “Masters”. The system displays “Blank” by default on launch of the page.

Data Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the data type for the control. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in the “Masters”. The system displays “Blank” by default on launch of the page.

Length

The length of the control.

Precision Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the precision type for the control. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in the “Masters”.

The system displays the following details in the multiline.

Base Artifact

The system indicates whether the control is base control or extension control.

ILBO Control

Indicates that the control is ilbo control or not.

Note: The newly added link control is created as a data hyperlink under link name field of specify link tab.

Tab: Grid Column

Grid Name              

Use the drop-down list box to select the grid name for defining the grid column details. The combo is loaded with values as defined in the “Controls” tab.

The system displays the following details.

Page Title

The name of the page/activity.

Section Title

The name of the section.

No. of visible rows

The number of rows to be visible in the grid column.

Select Flag

Select the check box, to enable the select check box in the grid.

Delete Flag

Select the check box to enable the delete icon in the grid.

Zoom Enabled

Select the check box to enable data hyper link of multiline data.

The system displays the following detail.

Base Grid

The system indicates whether the grid is base grid control or extension grid control.

Seq. No                    

The grid column sequence number. Auto generated

Note: You can rearrange the sequence of the column names by specifying the upper limit value in the Seq. No.

Column name

The name of the grid column.

Note:

1. You cannot reuse the same control name in the entire design process.

2. You can reuse already defined business term for a new control name.

3. You can create new control name and business term for a control.

Caption

The caption name for the grid control.

Column Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the column type. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in the “Masters”. More Details.

Width

The width of the grid column.

Mandatory

Select the check box, to specify whether the grid control is mandatory or not.

Property

Click the icon  to set the control properties like, visible length, mandatory etc.

Note: The properties of the base control cannot be modified.

Option

Click the icon  to define the option details for the grid column.

Business Term

Use the drop-down list box to select the business term for the grid control. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in the “Masters”. The system displays “Blank” by default on launch of the page.

Data Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the data type for the grid control. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in the “Masters”. The system displays “Blank” by default on launch of the page.

Length

The length of the grid column.

Precision Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the precision type for the grid control. The combo is loaded with “Blank” and “None”. The system displays “Blank” by default on launch of the page.

Tab: Specify Task

Page Title                

Use the drop-down list box to select the page title for defining the task details. The combo is loaded with values as defined in the “Page” tab.

Note:

a.         If the Page Title is “Blank” the system displays the default task values in the multiline.

b.         If the Page Title is other than blank then the system displays the associated task values for the selected page.

The system displays the following details in the multiline.

Task Name

The name of the task.

Task Description

The description of the task name.

Task Type

The type of task.

Post Help Task

Use the drop-down list box to select the post help task. The combo is loaded with the task names defined for the ILBO.

Note: The “Post Help Task” column is enabled only for the help tasks.

Service Name

Use the drop-down list box to select the service name for the task. The combo is loaded with the services names defined for the component.

Note: You can create a new service by selecting the “Generate” option in the combo.

Design

Click the icon to design the new service for the task.

Click the icon to design the extended service for the task.

Service Description

The description of the service name.

Prefix

The prefix for the service name.

Associated Control Caption

The control name which is associated with the task.

The system displays the following.

Base Artifact

The system indicates whether the task is base artifact or extended artifact.

Link Name

By clicking the hyperlinked data of link name moves to “Resolve Link” pages.

The system displays the following details in the multiline.

Link Description

The description of the link name.

ILBO Description    

Use the drop-down list box to select the description of the ilbo code. Mandatory when moving to the Resolve Links page. The combo is loaded with all ILBO names defined across the components.

The system displays the following details in the multiline.

Activity Description

The name of the activity.

Component Description

The name of the component.

Base Artifact

The system indicates whether the link is base artifact or extended artifact.

ILBO Code

The ilbo code specified of the activity.

Activity Name

The description of the activity name.
