State Definition
This page allows you to define the state information for the selected ilbo code. You can create a new state id by clicking the “Define State” hyperlink. You can also modify or delete the existing state id. For the selected state id, you can design the action type for the different type of artifact.
Select the “State Definition” link at the bottom of the “Select ILBO” activity.
The “State Definition” page appears.
The system displays the following in the header.
Component Description |
The name of the component. |
Component Name |
The description of the component name. |
Activity Description |
The name of the activity. |
Activity Name |
The description of the activity name. |
ILBO Description |
The name of the ilbo. |
ILBO Name |
The description of the ilbo name. |
Enter the following details in the header:
State ID |
Use the drop-down list box to select the state id for defining the state. The combo is loaded with all defined state id for the ilbo. |
The system displays the following in the header.
State Description |
The description of the state id. |
Click the “Edit” link to modify the state id details.
Click the “Delete” button to delete the state id.
The system displays the following in the “view – state information” multiline.
Artifact Type |
The type of artifact for which the state id defined. The type can be “Page”, “Section”, “Control” and “Grid Column”. |
Artifact Name |
The name of the artifact for which the state id defined. |
Description |
The description of the artifact name. |
Action Type |
The type of action for which the state id is defined. |
Value |
The defined value for action type. |
Base Artifact |
The system indicates that whether the artifact type is base type or extension type. |
Click the “Generate” pushbutton to generate the state information for the ilbo.
To proceed, carry out the following
Click the “Define State” link to define the new state id for the ilbo.
Click the “Design State Action” link to design the action details for the state id.
Select the “Define State” link at the bottom of the state definition page to define the new state id for the ilbo.
The “state definition” popup window appears.
Enter the following details:
State ID |
A unique id identifying the state definition for the ilbo. |
State Description |
The description of the state id. |
State Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the state type for defining the state id. The combo is loaded with values as defined in the “Masters”. The system displays “System State Definition” by default on launch of the page. |
The system displays the following.
Base Artifact |
The system indicates that whether the state id is base or extension. |
Click the “Save” pushbutton to save the newly created state id details.
The system saves the details and defaulted to the main page.
Select the “Design State Action” link at the bottom of the state definition page to design the action type for the state id.
The “design state” popup window appears.
Enter the following details:
Artifact Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the artifact type for designing the state action type. The combo is loaded with “Page”, “Section”, “Control” and “Grid Column”. The system displays “Page” by default on launch of the page. |
Click the “Refresh” button to refresh the page.
When “Artifact Type” is “Page”:
Enter the following in the multiline:

Use the drop-down list box to select the page name for designing the state action type. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in the “Masters”. |

Action Name |
Use the drop-down list box to select the action name for the specified page name. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in the “Masters”. |

The system indicates that the action type is enterable or not. |
Note: The fields “Value” and “Enterable” values are defaulted based on the selection of “Action Name”.
