Create Activity Cost Details – An overview

Activity overview

The activity time type indicates the type of the sub-activity (setup, batch and run). Activity time types are mapped to the cost element and this link is used for calculating the cost estimates of activities. For example, "Mill-Set" can be an activity time type that can describe the setup sub-activity of the milling activity. Activity time types are used in costing of work orders and production cost estimates.

You can attach a particular activity time type to a sub-activity by selecting the appropriate time flags. You can select either of the sub-activity time flags or the combination of all. You can initiate a link between the activity time type and the cost element to identify the costs associated with the sub-activity. You can make use of the help facility to select the relevant cost element defined under the cost center to attach it to the activity time type. On defining the necessary fields, you can create the activity time type.
