This activity allows you to edit the cost elements for the selected activity time type defined for each sub-activity time that is setup, batch and run Time. You can edit the activity time type details by fetching the cost element assigned to it in the multiline. On retrieving the cost elements, you can modify the appropriate cost element. You can make use of the help facility to select the cost element.
You can also delete the cost elements specified for the activity time types. On selecting the cost elements, you can initiate the delete operation to delete the marked rows in the multiline. The system updates the changes made to the activity time type details.
Select the “Edit Activity Cost Details” link under the “Process Model” business component.
The “Edit Activity Cost Details” page appears.
Modify the following, if required:

Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the existing activity time type details.

Note: You can select either one flag or the combination of the three flags in the header.
Maintained By |
Use the drop-down list box to select the “Maintained By” control units for which the login user has “View” access permissions. The system displays the “Default Maintained By” defined for the login user. Otherwise, the system displays the first value as the default value. |
Modify the following fields in the “Cost Details” multiline, if required:
Cost Element |
The number identifying the cost element defined under the cost center. The cost element should not be duplicated. |
Press <Enter> key. |

The cost element should not be left blank. The cost element should be valid and should be in “Active”. The system retrieves the cost element description from the “Cset” business component. |

Note: If help on cost element is taken, the description gets fetched automatically in the “Cost Details” multiline.
Check the box in the “Select” column to select the cost for deleting its details.
Click the “Delete” pushbutton to delete the selected records in the multiline.
The system checks if there are rows marked for deletion then the login user should have “All” access permission for the "Maintained By" control unit of the activity time type. If there are rows marked for deletion and if the cost element is mapped to the activity time type, then the system deletes the cost element from the activity time type.
Check the box in the “Select” column to select the cost for modifying its details.
Click the “Edit Activity Cost Details” push button to edit activity cost details
The system ensures that the login user should have “Modify” or “All” access permission for the "Maintained by" control units of the activity time type. The system checks the status. If status is being changed from “Draft” to “Inactive”, then there is no need for any validations. If the status is changed from “Draft” to “Active” or from “Inactive” to “Active”, then the system generates all the validations. If status is changed from “Active” to “Inactive” and the "Maintained By" control unit has only “Modify” permissions for the login user, then the system displays an error message. If the status is changed from “Active” to “Inactive” and the login user has “All” permissions for the "Maintained by" control unit and activity time type is in use in other activities, then change of status should not be possible. The system checks that at least one sub-activity should be selected. The system saves the activity time type details.
The login user ID and the system date are updated in the “Created By”, “Created Date”, “Edited By” and “Edited Date” fields.
