The “Edit Resource Requirements” page appears.

The system displays the following details:

Process Plan No.

The number identifying the process plan defined.

PP Seq.

The sequence number identifying the activity position in the process plan. Mandatory.

Press <Enter> key.

The process plan sequence should not be left blank. For the process plan number, the process plan sequence should be valid. For the PP No and PP Seq, the system retrieves the option sequences and also retrieves the resource details for the combination.

Help facility available.

Opt. Seq. No.

Use the drop down list box to select the option sequence number of the process plan sequence. Mandatory.  For the PP No and PP Seq, the system retrieves the option sequences. The system displays “First Option Sequence” by default on launch of the page. For the PP No and PP Seq combination, the system checks if the option sequences exist. If they exist and the option sequences is not selected, then displays an error message.

The system displays the following details:

Activity Code

The code identifying the standard or non-standard activity.

Desc.

The description of the activity.

Zoom facility available.

Standard

The code identifying whether the activity defined is a standard activity.

Item Code

The code identifying the output item of the process plan.

Variant Code

The code or number identifying the variant of the item.

Desc.

The description for the combination of the item and its variant.

Zoom facility available.

Resource No.

The number identifying the resource. Mandatory.

Press <Enter> key.

The resource should not be left blank. The resource should be valid and should be “Active” status. The system retrieves the resource details.

Help facility available.

Note: The resources can be modified and deleted for the selected option sequence number.

The system displays the following in the “Resource Details” multiline:

Resource Class

The resource class defined for the resource. It can be “Machine”, “Labor”, “Tool”, “Vendor” or “Others”.

Max. Cap Units

The maximum capacity of the resource being used.

Setup Cap Units

The capacity that is used during setup sub-activity. If the setup capacity for the resource has been specified and if the resource is a “Discrete” resource, then the setup capacity should be a whole number.

Batch Cap Units

The capacity that is used during batch sub-activity. If the batch capacity for the resource has been specified and if the resource is a “Discrete” resource, then the batch capacity should be a whole number.

Run Cap Units

The capacity that is used during actual processing of the activity. If the run capacity for the resource has been specified and if the resource is a “Discrete” resource, then the run capacity should be a whole number.

Capacity Basis

Use the drop-down list box to select the capacity basis of the activity. The system displays “Variable” by default on launch of the page. The options available are

  • Fixed – indicates that the capacity of the resource required is fixed.

  • Variable – indicates that the capacity of the resource required is variable.

Prodn. Reporting Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the production reporting types of the activities. You can select from “Start/Break/End”, “Start/End”, “Start of Activity”, “End of Activity” or “Backflush”.  The system displays “Start/Break/End” by default on launch of the page.

The system checks the resource to be deleted. If the resource is for a standard/non-standard activity, then the system ensures that the login user has “All” access permission to the "Maintained By" control unit of the process plan. The system ensures that at least one row in the multiline should be present. This check has to be made even in the cases where rows are marked for deletion. After deletion, there should be at least one row. So the system checks for that existence before deletion. The system deletes the resource for the PP No, PP Seq and Option Seq combination.

The process plan details have to be saved before the resource requirements are modified. For an item specific process plan, the system checks if the item is under Engineering Change (EC). If it is under EC then it cannot be modified. The system checks the status of the item process plan. If the status is set to “Draft”, then the system does not generate any validations. The system generates the validations only when the process plan status is changed from “Draft” to “Active” or the status is already “Active”.

The system ensures that the login user has “Modify” or “All” access permission to the "Maintained By" control unit of the corresponding activity. The resources cannot be duplicated. The system checks if the details already exists for the PP No, PP Seq and Opt Seq. If it already exists then update the details for the above three combination. Otherwise, inserts the details.

The login user ID and the system date are updated in the “Created By”, “Created Date”, “Edited By” and “Edited Date” fields.

To proceed, carry out the following

The system displays the following:

Created By

The login user ID of the person who has created the resource requirement.

Created Date

The date on which the resource requirement was created.

Edited By

The login user ID of the person who has modified the resource requirement.

Edited Date

The date on which the resource requirement was modified.

Edit Resource Requirements – An overview

Activity overview

This page allows you to modify the resource details required for the selected process plan. You can select the position sequence number by making use of the help facility or enter if the same is known. You can retrieve the resource details for the selected position and option sequence number in the multiline. You can also make changes to the resources that are fetched. You can select the resource number through the help facility and enter the sub-activities (setup, batch and run) capacity units together with the production reporting type to modify the details.

Apart from modifying, you can also delete the resource details by selecting the appropriate rows in the multiline. On selecting the rows, you can initiate the delete operation to delete the selected rows. Once the necessary details are modified, you can update the changes made to the resources of the selected process plan.
