Create Stock Transfer Request  – A summary of the activity

In order to create the request, the Item to be transferred can be either entered or selected using the help facility. The mode of transferring the items between warehouses can be through single step or multiple step transfer. In single step transfer, direct transfer takes place between the warehouses only through inventory transaction. In multiple step transfer, the transfer takes place through inventory and shipping transactions. The status of the stock transfer request being created can be set as “Released” or “Requested”. The process of stock transfer from the respective warehouses is not initiated till the status is set as “Released”.

In the multiline, you can select the warehouse, zone and bin from and to which the Items are transferred, define the transfer and receipt date, the quantity of the Items to be transferred. You can also select the lot and serial numbers of the Item being transferred if it is lot or serial number controlled. The system automatically generates the request number and displays the status and problem (if any) for each row in the multiline. You are provided with links at the bottom of the page. The “Edit Stock Transfer Request” link aids you to make changes to the created stock transfer request and the “Inquire Company Stock” link allows you to view the free stock information of the item.
