Using online help

This activity allows you to edit the planning order bill for the selected planning group. You can enter or make use of the help facility to retrieve the planning order number for which the system retrieves the related details in the header and the multiline. In the header you can view the order details and in the multiline you can edit the planning group/item along with the planned quantity, warehouse and resource sequence attached to the planning bill.

Apart from modifying, you can also delete the item/planning group details selected in the multiline by initiating the delete operation. Upon editing or deleting the necessary details, you can update the changes made to the planning order bill.A “Edit Planning Order Bill of Notes” link is provided at the bottom of the page to modify the notes attached to the planning order bill.

Plg. Order No.

The number identifying the planning order for which the planning order bill details are displayed. Mandatory. The planning order should be defined in the system for the Business Unit.

 

Help facility available.

The system retrieves all the details for the planning order specified in the header and multiline. Only planned option sequences are shown in the multiline.

The system displays the following:

Order Status

The status of the planning order. It can be “Requested”, “Accepted”, “Firmed” or “Released”.

Note: If the status of the order is less than or equal to “Requested” status, then the login user should have at least “View” access permission to the material planner defined in the Control Unit. If the status of the order is greater than or equal to “Accepted” status, then the login user should have at least “View” access permission to the production controller defined in the Control Unit.

The code identifying the planning group of the planning order.

The description of the planning group.

 

Zoom facility available.

Order Qty.

The quantity of the planning order.

UOM

The unit of measure of the planning group.

Problem

The problem associated with the planning order.

Order Due date

The due date of the planning order.

PS Seq.

The number identifying the product structure sequence of an item/planning group in the planning bill of the planning order. Mandatory.

Note: For an existing PS Seq, the Item Code/Var/Planning Group cannot be changed. For a new row inserted, if PS Seq is entered should not already exist in the Planning order Bill and should be unique.

If PS Seq is blank, it is generated using the formula Maximum of PS Seq for the Planning order Bill and Seq increment for the Planning Bill as maintained by the Control Unit.. PS Seq should be greater than zero. If a new PS Seq is added, then the Item Code or planning group cannot be blank.

Plg. Group

The number identifying the planning group that occurs in the planning bill of the planning order selected.

Item Code

The code identifying the item that occurs in the planning bill of the planning order selected. Mandatory.

Note: The position sequence number can exist either for a planning group or an item and cannot exist for both. For all the selected rows, item code or planning group should be validated to get the corresponding item details. For a new row or an existing row modified, the item code or planning group should be defined. For all selected rows, the item code/planing group should be valid for the due date of the order or start date of the order based on the rule engine option parameter.

Variant Code

The code identifying the variant of the item variant that is defined in the planning bill of the planning order selected. For all selected rows that are added or modified, Item Warehouse Planning Parameters should have been defined for the item and variant combination for the WH.

The system displays the following in the “Order Planning Bill Details” multiline:

Desc.

The description of the planning group/item/item variant.

Plan Qty.

The quantity of the item that is to be produced based on the requirements or demands. Mandatory. If a new PS Seq is added for the Item Code or Planning Group, then Plan Qty should be greater than zero. The system does not allow entering fractions or decimals if the production UOM of the item does not allow fraction.

The system displays the following:

UOM

The production unit of measure of the item/planning group.

Plant

The plant where the planning order bill has been created.

Warehouse Code

The code identifying the warehouse where the issues of the input are made if the item is an input item. In case of the output item, this refers to the warehouse where the item is stocked. In case of a planning group, this field will not have value. The warehouse should not be left blank and should be validated for the primary item code.

PP Seq.

The number identifying the process plan sequence of an item/planning group in the planning bill of the planning order.

The system displays the following in the “Order Planning Bill Details” multiline:

Phantom

Indicates whether the item is a phantom item or not.

PS Seq. Desc.

The description of the product structure sequence.

Field1

The remark or comment specified by the user.

Field2

The remark or comment specified by the user.

Field3

The remark or comment specified by the user.

For all the selected rows, the item code or planning group should be defined. The system checks the validation for each of the selected rows to get item details. The system gets the details for the planning order specified in header and multiline. Only planned option sequences are shown in the multiline.

The system ensures that the planning order should not be already in queue (Problem = “Q”) and checks at least one input Seq exists for the planning order. 

The login user ID and the system date are updated in the “Created By”, “Created Date”, “Edited By” and “Edited Date” fields.

The system displays the following:

Created By

The login user ID of the person who has created the planning order bill.

Created Date

The date on which the planning order bill was created.

Edited By

The login user ID of the person who has modified the planning order bill.

Edited Date

The date on which the planning order bill was modified.
