Create Parameter – A summary of the activity
This activity allows you to define parameters for maintainable entities in an organization. Parameters are certain attributes defined for each maintainable entity, which help in monitoring the condition or usage of the entity. For example, you can define parameters to monitor the temperature of a boiler, color of the engine oil or fuel or oil consumed by the equipment. The parameters that are so defined are later associated to the maintainable entities.
Parameters are classified as technical, attribute, range and consumption parameters.
In this activity, you can also define the values for the attribute parameters. The parameters are defined in the "Parameter Creation” page and the values for the attribute parameters are defined in the “Attributes Parameter Values” page.
