Insert Parameter Values – A summary of the activity

This activity enables you to insert parameter values into the parameter log. For details regarding creating a parameter log, refer the topic “Report Parameter Values – A summary of the activity”. When a parameter value is inserted in the parameter log, between two already updated parameter values, the system re-calculates all parameter values that are updated by a “Delta” value, subsequent to the value inserted. The system re-calculates the parameter values till it encounters a “New” value updation of the parameter.

Let us consider the following example:

In the above example, it can be seen that the 'Last updated date' is 15/12/2001 and the 'Last updated time' is 6:30pm. You can insert a parameter present value update for a date/time earlier than the last updated date/time, that is, say, as on 15/12/2001, 5:30pm.

The system now recalculates the present values of the parameter as shown below:

• Select the equipment or location for which parameter values must be inserted, in the “Select Equipment / Location” page.

• Use the “Insert Parameter Values” page, to insert values for consumption, range and attribute parameters for equipment / location.
