This page allows you to specify the work orders, inspection orders and calibration orders to be performed as a part of the plan. Tell me more.
Select the “Transactions” link from the bottom of the main page.
The “Edit Transactions” page appears.
The system displays the following:

The number of the plan for which transactions must be specified. |

Enter the following fields:
Plan Type |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the type of the plan. The system lists all the plan types that have been defined in the “Define Plan Types” activity and are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank, if you do not wish to specify a plan type. You cannot modify this field if the plan is confirmed. |
Plan Category |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the category of the plan. The system lists all the plan categories that have been defined in the “Define Plan Categories” activity and are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank, if you do not wish to specify a plan category. You cannot modify this field if the plan is confirmed. |

The estimated cost that will be incurred on carrying out the plan. |
Enter the following fields:
Work Group |
The work group that is responsible for carrying out the plan (Alphanumeric, 30). Data entry in this field is mandatory if you wish to confirm the plan. Ensure that the work group is already defined in the “Create Work Group” activity of the “Work Group” business component. |

Calendar |
The calendar based on which the transaction is performed. This field cannot be modified. |
Apex Loc. |
The location to which the cost incurred on execution of the plan will be posted (Alphanumeric, 30). Data entry in this field is mandatory, if you are confirming the plan. Ensure that the location is already defined in the “Create Location” activity of the “Maintenance Organization” business component and is in the “Active” status. You cannot modify this field if the plan is already confirmed. Help facility available. |

The date on which the transaction is scheduled to end. |
Time |
The time at which the transaction is scheduled to end. |
Enter the following fields in the multiline:
New Sch. Start Date |
The new date on which the execution of the transaction is scheduled to start (Date Format). You cannot enter a new start date in this field if the status of the transaction is “Completed” or “Closed”. |
Time |
The time at which the execution of the transaction is scheduled to start (Time Format). |
Work Group |
The work group that will be responsible for carrying out the transaction (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the work group is already defined in the “Create Work Group” of the “Work Group” business component and is in the “Active” status. You cannot modify this field if the status of the transaction is “Completed” or “Closed”. |

Supervisor |
The login ID of the user who is responsible for supervising the carrying out of the transaction (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure that the user has already been defined in the “Define Employee” activity of the “Resources” business component and is in the “Current” status. You cannot modify this field if the status of the transaction is “Completed” or “Closed”. |
Duration |
The number of hours required for carrying out the transaction (Decimal) Mandatory. Ensure that the duration is positive. You cannot modify this field if the status of the transaction is “Completed” or “Closed”. |

The estimated cost of carrying out the transaction. |

To save the details of the transactions
Click the “Save” pushbutton to save the details of the transactions that have been entered for the plan.
The system saves the transactions to the plan and performs the following:
If a work order is added to the plan,

If the plan is confirmed, the system changes the status of the work order to “Scheduled”, if it is in the “Fresh”, “Approved” or a “Deferred” status. |

If there are tasks in the work order , the “Scheduled By” option of the work order is set as “By Task” |
|
If there are no tasks in the work order, the “Scheduled By” option of the work order is set as “By Work Order”. |
|
The status of all tasks in the work order, except those in the “In Progress”, “Interrupted” and “Completed” status, is set as “Scheduled”. |
|
If a new scheduled start date is specified for the work order, sets the scheduled start date of the work order as the new scheduled start date that is specified. |
Refreshes the “Est. Duration (Hrs.)” field with the difference between the earliest scheduled start date and the latest scheduled completion date of the transactions entered in the multiline.
If the plan is confirmed, the scheduled start date and scheduled completion date of the plan level work order is set as the new scheduled start date and new scheduled completion date of the plan respectively. The details of the work order re-scheduling is posted to the work order re-scheduling history . The scheduled start date and the completion date of the tasks within the work order also changes according to the new scheduled start dates that you have specified.
Displays the description of the apex location.
To shift the scheduled start date of the plan
Click the “Shift Sch.” pushbutton.
The system performs the following:
Shifts the scheduled date on which the plan is expected to commence to the date entered in the “New Plan Sch Start Date”.
The system shifts the scheduled start date of the transactions by the number of days the plan was shifted.
If this process has re-scheduled any work order, the details of the re-scheduling is posted to work order-rescheduling history.
To confirm the plan
Click the “Confirm Plan” pushbutton to confirm the plan.
The system performs the following on the confirmation of the plan:
Sets the status of the plan as “Confirmed”.
Changes the status of all work orders that have created in the plan to “Scheduled” if they are in the “Fresh”, “Approved” or “Defferred” status.
Note: The system also creates clearance request or clearance permits for the work orders based on the option that is set in the “Option Settings” activity of the “Clearance Permit System” business component.
Creates a plan level work order for the apex location of the plan with the work order status as “Scheduled”. The system stores the scheduled start date of the plan as well as for the work orders that must be performed as a part of the plan. These dates are considered as baseline dates which are later used for taking variance reports.
Sets the scheduled start date and completion date of the plan level work order as the scheduled start and the completion dates of the plan.
Reserves spare parts for the work order if the automatic reservation of spare parts for a work order on scheduling has been set in the “Option Settings” activity of the “WO Planning and Scheduling” business component.
Records the status change of the work order in work order history
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

The login ID of the user who last modified the plan. |

To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Material Planning” link from the bottom of the page to plan the material required for carrying out the plan.
Select the “View Part Availability” link at the bottom of the page to view the details of parts that are available for carrying out the work orders that are to be executed as a part of the plan.
This page allows you to specify the work orders, inspection orders and calibration orders to be performed as a part of the plan. These work orders, inspection orders and calibration orders are referred to as transactions. You can specify the transactions for the plan by entering the following details:
The transaction number
The type of the transaction
The work group that is responsible for carrying out the transaction
The supervisor who is in charge of supervising the transaction
The number of hours required for carrying out the transaction
The calendar based on which the transaction must be performed
You can shift the schedule for carrying out the plan in this page. You can specify the new start date and time and shift the schedule of the plan. The system shifts the scheduled start date of the plan as well as the scheduled start date of the transactions that must be carried out as a part of the plan.
You can confirm the plan in this page. On confirmation, the status of the plan is set as “Confirmed” and a work order is generated at the plan level for the apex location. You can raise purchase requests and service requests only for a plan that is in the “Confirmed” status.
You can shift the scheduled start dates of the plan, thereby shifting the scheduled start dates of all the work orders in the plan.
Enter a new scheduled start date of the plan in the “New Plan Sch Start Date” field and click the “Shift Schedule” pushbutton.
You can confirm the plan and baseline the scheduled start dates of the plan for the purpose of taking variance reports.
Click the “Confirm Plan” pushbutton to confirm the plan.
