This page allows you to modify the details of the task selected in the “Select Task” page. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Task” link from the “Select Task“ page. Alternatively, select the hyperlinked task from the mulitline of the same page.
The “Edit Task” page appears.
Enter the following fields, if you wish to copy the details from a task that is already defined:

The task number, the details of which are to be copied into the task that is currently being modified (Alphanumeric, 30). The system allows you to copy all the details of the task or to selectively copy the skill requirements, spares requirements, tool requirements and other resource requirements from the task entered in this field. |

Click one or more of the following boxes to specify the details of the task to be copied:

Check this box to copy all the details pertaining to the task. Details include all the activities, skill requirements, spares requirements, tools requirements and other resource requirements that have been specified for the task. |

Check this box to copy the skill requirement details. |
Spares Reqt. |
Check this box to copy the spare parts requirement details. |
Tools Reqt. |
Check this box to copy the tool requirement details. |
Other Res. Reqt. |
Check this box to copy other resource requirement details. |
Note: If you have not checked any of the boxes listed above, the system copies all the details of the task, on clicking the “Copy” pushbutton.
Click the “Copy” pushbutton to copy the selected details of the task.
Note: The system copies the details of the task only for those fields that are left blank and appends the requirement details to the existing requirements of the task.
Enter the following field, if you wish to modify the details of a task other than the task selected in the main page:

The task to be edited (Alphanumeric, 30). |
Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the details of the task. The description of the task is retrieved alongside. Enter the modified description (Alphanumeric, 150). |
Enter the following fields if you wish to modify the task details:
Task Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the task. The system provides the options “Active” and “Inactive”. Set the status as “Inactive” if you wish to disable the task from any further reference in other activities. |
Task Type |
Use the drop-down list box to identify the type of the task. The system lists all types that are in “Active” status as defined in the “Define Task Types” activity. |
Est. Duration (Hrs.) |
The duration in hours within which the task is estimated to be completed (Decimal). Mandatory. Ensure that the duration is not negative. Also ensure that the duration specified for any resource is not greater than the duration specified in this field. |
Task Category |
Use the drop-down list box to edit the category to which the task belongs. The system lists all the categories that have been defined in the “Define Task Categories” activity. Leave the field blank if you do not wish to identify the task category. |

Enter any additional information about the task (Alphanumeric, 30). |
The system lists the activities that are already defined for the task in the multiline. |
Enter the following fields to define new activities, or to delete the activities that are already defined for the task:

The textual description of the activity (Alphanumeric, 150). |
Seq. No. |
The order in which the activities must be performed (Integer). Ensure that the sequence number is a positive integer and is unique in the multiline. |
If you have left the sequence number blank for all the multiline rows, the system automatically assigns a sequence number to each of them, in multiples of five, on clicking the “Modify” pushbutton.
Note: If you have left the sequence number blank for some of the multiline rows, the system arranges those rows in the order in which they are entered, and numbers these rows to be the last in the sequence. The system then rearranges the rows in the ascending order of the sequence number and renumbers the rows with multiples of five.
Check the box in the ”Select” column of the multiline to select the activities to be deleted from the task.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the selected activities.
Click the “Modify” pushbutton to update the modified details of the selected task.
Note: The system modifies the task details, adds the new activities for the task and deletes the activities that are marked for deletion. It also refreshes the “Last Modified By” field to the login ID of the currently logged in user and the “Last Modified Date” to the current date.
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

The login ID of the user who last modified the task. |

The date and time at which the task was last modified. |
To proceed carry out the following
Select the “Skill Requirement” link from the bottom of the page to specify the skills required for the task.
Select the “Tool Requirement” link from the bottom of the page to specify the tools required for the task.
Select the “Spare Part Requirement” link from the bottom of the page to specify the spare parts required for the task.
Select the “Other Resource Requirement” link from the bottom of the page to specify any other resource required for the task.
Select the “Attach Notes” link at the bottom of the page to specify notes details.
This page allows you to modify the details of the task selected in the “Select Task” page. You can also directly enter a task in this page, other than the task selected in the main page, and modify its details. You can modify the task by adding new activities, or by deleting the activities currently belonging to the task. The skills, tools, spare parts and other resource requirements of the selected task can be modified.
The details of the task such as its description, status, type, category, estimated duration and the activities belonging to the task can be modified. You can also modify the details of the selected task by copying the details from an existing task. You can also use this page to convert a non-routine task to a routine task and vice versa.

Enter the task from which you wish to copy the details in the “From Task” field in the “Copy” group box.
Check any or all of the following check boxes if you wish to copy the task along with its resource requirements. Alternatively you can check the “All” check box to copy all the resource requirements of the task.
The “Skill Reqt” check box to copy the skill requirments.
The “Spare Reqt” check box to copy the spare requirements.
The “Tool Reqt” check box to copy the tool requirements.
The “Other Res. Reqt” check box to copy the other resource requirements.
