Allocate Parts – A summary of the activity
This activity allows you to allocate spare parts to a work order. Only parts that are available can be allocated to a work order. Parts once allocated cannot be issued for any other purpose. All types of spare parts can be allocated to a work order through this activity. However parts can be unallocated whenever a need arises. It could be because of a requirement for an urgent work order or when the work order to which the spare part has been allocated has been put on hold or rescheduled to a new date.
Spare parts can be allocated to a work order or to every task that belongs to a work order. Spare parts can be allocated to a work order that is only in the “Scheduled” or “In Progress” status.
