Select the “Edit Inspection Plan” link from the “Quality Management” business component.
The “Edit Inspection Plan” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Status |
The status of the inspection plan. The values “Activate” or "Deactivated" get displayed. |
Enter the following in the “Plan Details” group box:
Inspection Plan ID |
The code identifying the inspection plan to be modified (Alphanumeric, 50). Mandatory. |

The textual description of the inspection plan id to be modified (Alphanumeric, 150). Mandatory. |
Effective From |
The date starting from which the inspection plan is effective (Date Format). Mandatory. |
Effective To |
The date until which the inspection plan is effective (Date Format). |
The system displays the following:
Control Point ID |
The code identifying control point for which the inspection needs to be carried out. |
Description |
The textual description of the control point. |
Item Code |
The code identifying the item attached to the control point. |
Variant |
The item variant associated with the control point. |
Description |
The textual description of the item or item variant. |
Origin ID |
The location where the item is to be inspected. The system displays “Quality Management”, “Production”, “Sales”, “Purchase” or “All” based on the origin specified. |
Enter the following in the “Plan Details” group box:
Deactivation Reason Code |
Use the drop-down list box to select the deactivation reason code. The values defined in the “Create Classes” activity of Classes component get populated. The system displays the "Blank " value as default on launch of the page. |

The descriptive information of the deactivation reason code. |
Enter the following in the “Sampling Details” group box:
Sampling Type |
The sampling type indicates the number of times the samples of an item need to be inspected. Use the drop-down list box to modify the sampling method. You can select a sampling type from the types “Fixed size”, “Variable size”, “Square root” and “% based”.The system displays “Fixed Size” by default on launch of the page. |
Inspection Type |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the inspection type. The inspection type could be “Normal”, “Tightened” or “Reduced”.The system displays “Normal” by default on launch of the page. |
Number of Samples |
The number of samples for which the inspection must be carried out (Integer). |
Retention Samples |
The value indicating the quantity of the sample, which is retained for some specific reason. For example, if the sample size is 100 and if “10” is specified here, it indicates that 10 items are retained for some specific reason, which could be inspected later. |
Quantity per Sample |
The quantity specifying the sample size (Integer). |
UOM |
The unit of measurement in which the quantity is measured (Integer). |

Inspection Basis |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the basis of inspection, which could be “Attribute” or “Check List”.The system displays “Attribute” by default on launch of the page. |
Note: When the Inspection Basis is selected as “Attribute”, then the attribute details will be displayed in the multiline provided that attribute is set as testing required in the “Attribute Definition” component for the attributes mapped to the item.
Check List (SOP) |
The code identifying the standard operating procedures (Alphanumeric, 32). This code is displayed if the “Inspection Basis” is set to “Check List” |

Enter the following in the "Sampling Details" multiline:
Percentage Based |
This field will capture the percentage of the inspection quantity that will be treated as the number of samples. Applicable for the sampling type “Percentage based”. (Alphanumeric, 20). |
Enter the following in the “Attribute Details” multiline:
Serial Number |
The number identifying the serial number of the attribute for which the inspection must be defined (Integer). |
Attribute |
The code identifying the attributes that are defined for inspection plan, which needs to be modified (Alphanumeric, 06). This field is mandatory if you set the “Inspection Basis” field to “Attribute”. |

The type of the attribute, which could be “Quantitative” or “Qualitative”. |
Enter the following:
Min. Value |
The minimum quantitative value that can be assigned to the attribute of the inspection (Integer). |
Reqd. Min Value |
The required minimum value that can be assigned to the quantitative attribute. This value should be greater than or equal to the min. value of the attribute. Integer). |
Std. Quantitative Value |
The standard acceptable value of the quantitative attribute (Integer). This value is displayed from the item admin defined against the attribute. |
Reqd. Std. Quantitative Value |
The required standard quantitative value that can be assigned to the attribute. (Integer). Mandatory. This value should be greater than the reqd. min. value and lesser than or equal to the reqd. max. value. |
Max. Value |
The maximum acceptable value of the quantitative attribute. This value is displayed from the item admin defined against the attribute. (Integer) |
Reqd. Max. Value |
The required maximum value that can be assigned to the attribute. This value should be lesser than or equal to the reqd. max. value of the attribute.. (Integer). |
Std. Qualitative Value |
The acceptable value of the qualitative attribute (Alphanumeric, 20). |

Mandatory |
Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether recording the attribute values is mandatory. The combo is loaded with values “Yes” and “No”. The system displays “Yes” by default on launch of the page. |
Return Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the different ways to calculate the actual quantitative attribute value. The system displays “Mean”, “Median”, “Maximum” and “Minimum”.The system displays “Mean" by default on launch of the page. Return type is not applicable for qualitative attribute. |
Analysis Method |
The code identifying the analysis method attached to the inspection plan. |

The unit of measurement when the attribute type of the inspection is “Quantitative”. This field is displayed only for the quantitative attribute. |

Created By |
The name of the user who created the inspection plan id. |
Created Date |
The date on which the inspection plan id was created. |
Modified By |
The name of the user who last modified the inspection plan id. |
Modified Date |
The date on which the inspection plan id was last modified. |
Click the “Edit” pushbutton to save the changes made to the inspection plan.
Click the "Deactivate" pushbutton to deactivate the selected inspection plan. The status of the selected inspection plan gets changed to "Deactivated" status.
Click the “Delete” pushbutton to delete the inspection plan.
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the attribute code for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the toolbar above the multiline, to delete the attribute code selected in the multiline.
To proceed, carry out the following:
Select the “Maintain Qualitative Attribute Values” link provided in the page, if you wish to modify the attribute values for an inspection plan id.
Select the “Attach Notes” link at the bottom of the page to specify notes details.
